I haven't yet. I interviewed 12/3 and was told that the committee meets on 12/19. I was hopeful to get a decision sooner since I have another school's deposit deadline due this week.
I did mine 11/11 and still haven’t received the decision, fingers crossed here!

I have a few questions for current students/people who know the answers!
1. I saw the technical requirements on the portal, but do most people use a certain device (i.e. iPad)? I know there are some schools who give free tech.
2. For second year students, how are you feeling about upcoming rotations/clinical years and the locations of the sites?

For the dean/student overview and q&a, should we dress in interview attire? Just wondering because I’ll be coming back from work

I just wore my scrubs and a sweater to this since I was also getting off work when I attended the overview and q/a

I'd say most students were in at least business casual and only a couple people (out of around 50 applicants) had their cameras off so if you're keen on not standing out, I'd def at least try to get a change of clothes! I wore something a bit more casual than the other applicants and I was definitely weary about it haha

When I had my Q&A most wore business casual/professional and the dean as he was leaving did say “thank you to everyone who dressed up for the occasion”! So would recommend wearing something professional if you can

Interviewed 12/04
Do we hear back a decision tomorrow according to the email?

Very nervous

People accepted after the Dec accepted students day are y’all getting down to campus before the thirty day deposit deadline since the next accepted students day is in Feb?

I was planning on submitting my deposit and then visiting the campus in February. I really like the program and it is way too far for me to visit twice lol I am 24 hours away from Billings

I got accepted 12/19 but I haven’t received the “personalized URL” how long did it take?

It should be the one you used to submit your secondary and sign up for your interview slot.

Hi guys! I know there is a facebook page for accepted students, but I was wondering if anyone has started a GroupMe or Discord chat yet?

Hello everyone, Canadian here. Got the interview invite today and had a couple of questions.

1) since i have to commit to a campus through my interview, is there a campus that would be easier to get in than others? My most important priority is getting in somewhere right now, so I want to increase my chances as much as possible. So in my eyes, there's no point in going for the utah campus for example, if that campus is almost full, while the montana one is empty. Appreciate any insight into this matter.

2) I know the interview is 30 minutes, but what's the format? Traditional or MMI? Open or closed file? Faculty or student led?

3) is there a known ratio between people interviewed and accepted? Is it just a red flag check where 90% of people interviewed get in? Or do you actually have to go above and beyond tonget accepted.

Hi there! Congrats on your interview invite! I am not an expert on RVU, but I did have an interview with MT and can try to answer these for you.

1. It is my understanding that the MT campus operates independently and has no connection to the UT and CO campuses for the application process. There is a separate application for the MT campus, whereas the CO and UT campuses share a single application submission. My interview was only for the MT campus, and my application for the other two campuses is still under review.
2. The interview was a traditional open-file format with a faculty member. It was very conversational and low-stress.
3. I do not know the ratio, but I feel like if you get an interview invite at the MT campus and do well, it is a pretty high acceptance rate. I don't necessarily think this is a red flag. If they invite you for an interview, your application caught the committee's eye, and you are a valid candidate for medical school - they just want to ensure that you are a genuine human and fit their mission.

Hi guys I got placed on alternate list after interviewing. Anyone have any insight on it or know if chances are high of being accepted off it?

I am not sure about this. When did you interview? Did they email you about the alt list?

Interviewed back in November and they emailed me shortly after. I had called and they said it was basically a waitlist. Just didn't know if there's been any movement.
