can anyone address the issue of whether one can get federal student loans for this school since it is not yet accredited?
I am concerned about whether or not going to an accredited school is risky--both on this loans issue and in general.
anything anyone knows would be very helpful. it looks like a great school, and I am in state with 510 MCAT and 3.76 total GPA. thank you!
The COM is set within an already-established university, thus student loans are available for us. Hope that clarifies things!

From the website, I see Duq com has 80% attendance policy. How many classes and how long does Duq do?

are interviews only in person for this school, or will they do virtual? I live across the state. (haven't received II at this point, so just asking).

There are both in person & virtual options! I did the virtual interview just recently.

So confused as to why those of us who interviewed on 8/26 still haven't heard back even though they said we'd know within 2 weeks. We are almost 3 weeks out from our interview day, lol

OOS A! I interviewed on 9/3, and didn't find out until I opened the portal today. I also didn't get a call regarding the decision, in case if anyone is wondering. Definitely check your portal to see if there is an update! Good luck and wishing the best for everyone!

Congratulations to you!!! I also interviewed 9/3, and checked the portal today but was put on the further consideration list at this time 🙁

Is the portal the same as the website you submit the secondary from? Whenever I log in, I only see my secondary application and don’t see and application status.

Type in duqcom application portal on google and use your same login as for the secondary

It says I have an application status update and to click the link to the right, but there is no link whatsoever. Has anyone had this issue?

Did you end up finding out what the update was?

Does anyone know how long this school gives you after an acceptance to put down a deposit? And is that in line with how other DO schools work?

at the interviews the week of 9/8 they said it was october 1st, im sure it'll change as the cycle continues but they did not mention following AACOMAS traffic guidelines

I was accepted mid July and my deposit deadline is October 1. Most schools I’ve seen have a deadline in December so I was definitely surprised it was so early, not sure what the date/time frame will be for others admitted after that.

Still haven’t received the secondary after 3 weeks. I have a LM of 70, is there a screen I should know about or are the secondaries late to arrive?

I submitted back in June and never received a secondary. Similar LM too so it seems like I just got ignored.

Only screen I know of for them is for sub 500 MCATs, if you meet that then I’m not sure. Maybe email or call them?

Is it possible they're waiting until October 1st passes before they make more decisions? I also interviewed the week of 9/8 and have not heard back.

On my portal, they stated to submit the deposit within 30 days after your acceptance is posted. The deadline is probably slightly shorter than other DO schools, but they might be doing so to ensure a proper headcount since more students ended up matriculating than they expected last year.

Did anyone request virtual interview that is within a 4-hour drive? Sure it best to do in person but just wondering if hurts chances to do virtual if they offer in person interview.

+1 II around 2 hours ago! What type of interview should I expect?
A laid back and conversational interview sandwiched between some info sessions/presentations and a tour. Overall, I thought it was extremely well done. Would recommend in person for sure if you are able to so you can get a feel for the school, but virtual shouldn't hurt your chances.

There’s an option for virtual? When I filled out the form there was only in person available. Do you think it’s reasonable to request housing accomodations from them? Or should I expect to pay for flights and hotel?

I think some people asked them about virtual maybe and they arranged it? Idk, I think mine only showed in person as well. Either way, I'd recommend in person if you actually are considering going here. I would assume there is no option for them to accommodate paying for a flight and hotel, but there are discounts to nearby hotels I believe.

I got an IS A on 9/13 after interviewing 8/27! I am considering paying the enrollment deposit to hold my spot, as this is my only acceptance so far. I know that usually enrollment deposits for a school are not binding even if they are nonrefundable, but I am still a little nervous about paying it since my portal says to submit both a deposit and an enrollment response form in order to confirm my enrollment. Can anyone confirm whether the form and deposit are binding or not?

No not binding and most schools can't force you even if they want. OCOM which was infamous can't really force a student to attend. The threat was they tell the other school you left the seat but Duq com a chill school and they won't care. You do lose the deposit though

I got an email last week letting me know that they are behind on decisions, they said the end of this week but assuming since it's Friday already that may not be the case
Yeah I guess they have couple of hours left of today for this to be true.
But I guess they need more time

My instincts tell me they may have had more students pay enrollment deposits than expected. No news after last week's email and the Oct 1st deadline makes it seem that way to me.

Yeah anyone hear from interview 17th. They said end of this week but idk.

Yes but they are increasing to 127 students for this next class there’s no way they have interviewed that many people yet
