Got waitlisted. Little sad but honestly I got A from one of my top DO school so not depressed. Not minding it at all.
Congrats who got A from the school or still waiting.

Congrats on the A from your other school! When did you interview at DUQCOM?

Still waiting for decisions from interview 17th, guess they really needed more time. It does give me a bad taste that they completely lied to us and haven't updated about needing more time, very unprofessional......

I interviewed the 10th, have not heard back yet but I did get an update email saying they were behind, I wonder if maybe it went to spam? No one else said anything about getting the udpate

i did get an update once saying they needed more and time and were gonna have decisions "late next week" meaning this past week...... but I guess all we can do is wait.

I got the same email from them and haven't heard back either. I find it strange that they've waitlisted some students from my interview week of 9/8 but the rest of us haven't received decisions yet. I would imagine that decisions are usually made simultaneously for certain interview groups.

the portal you submitted your secondary on. It kinda just was there for me it said a status update was posted and it had my acceptance letter.
So excited its my first DO choice

If it's the page that says "Thank you for applying to Duquesne University." then it looks like mine hasn't updated :/. I wonder if I should reach out since other people from my interview day have heard back?? Congrats on the A!!

Agreed. I interviewed end of August and they promised we'd hear back within 2 weeks. It's over 6 weeks after my interview date now, and I still have no decision in my portal. I also never received an email saying they were behind on decisions

That could be the case! I'm wondering now if maybe I set my portal up wrong all those months ago and that's what the problem is. This process makes me so neurotic lol. I guess I'll give it another week and consider emailing admissions, I'm just unsure if that could hurt my chances
 
Finished interview here today! They said it’ll be about a month till decisions come out.

It’s a rolling admission cycle so the bulk of the interview invites are sent at the beginning of the season (September to December), while some come around in January and February, generally not after because most schools need to have everything tidied by April

Interviewed 9/16 and still haven't heard back. Debating whether to send a email to admissions. Thoughts?

I’m in the same boat as you. I sent an email last week and haven’t gotten a reply nor an update to my portal. I’m so confused by the order that they’re reviewing applications post-interview

Since I've seen people from my interview week get decisions of all kinds I'm hesitating to interpret this as a rejection but it feels weird to see it pushed back this far...
 
TBH I think they are waiting for more recent A's go put down deposits...... I interviewed september 17th and got decision early October, Im waiting on 2 MD decisions to put down..... Also i currently don't even have $1,500 to my name.......... spent over 10K on this cycle.

That’s a good point. When is the deadline to put down a deposit at DUQCOM?

It's not exactly sound advice, but I've personally met and seen a few people who are turning down acceptances from here for other schools, so your chances don't sound too slim for DUQCOM off of the waitlist!
 
Anybody apply to this program with less than a 500 on their MCAT? I was told they would only look at apps that met their minimum requirement.

Just got an email that I was accepted into the “Next Seat Available Program”. Does this mean the class is now full?

Also received this email. Sounds like the class is full at the moment but being on this "priority waitlist" isn't bad, it's only the end of October after all

I was told during the interview that I was really a competitive applicant and I had my hopes up really up for this school, up until they waited for almost 2 months to reply back with " Next seat available|"even though they said the decision will be 2 weeks after the interview! I'm fortunate to get accepted to my state school so I really don't care at this point. I understand it is a new school and they have a lot to fix and they are short staffed as well but they could've done better with the communication after the interview . Anyways, I'll send an email that I no longer want to be in this list so hopefully one of you guys who are waiting to hear back can get on the list if possible.

I was put on the waitlist back in September and haven’t heard anything since. Am I not considered for this “next seat available program” or am I automatically put on it since I’ve been on the waitlist?
 
For those going to the admitted students event this weekend, what is the dress code?

Also I know there is a FaceBook group, but has anyone created a group chat on a different social media platform. I tried to make a FB account but Meta themselves blocked me 😭
 
To all the people that have been accepted have you all gotten the scholarship information? Like the endowed scholarships or are they sending that to specific people??
 
Has anyone from the 10/7 or 10/8 Interview day heard anything now that it's been a month?
 
Just got a letter saying they were offering a seat in the "next seat available program"? does anyone know what this is? is this their terminology for wait list.
