I've tried my hardest to be optimistic for the past 2 weeks, but I am starting to lose hope. How is it possible that waitlist movement has not started yet?? I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but I just found out that accepted students were required to make a deposit on May 6th. I imagine that maybe this would have caused a handful of accepted students to withdraw, but I guess that was not the case. At this point I've convinced myself that if there were spots people would be getting pulled from the waitlist, and the fact that there are not means that there are little to no spots. I really want to be at this school, but I am grateful to hold another acceptance and plans on attending that institution are becoming realer every day. Needed to vent. Any thoughts?

Agreed and glad you have a spot somewhere! Thinks my top school too and I’m on 2 other WL; just trying to hold on to some hope and wait it out as I apply for another cycle.

It’s hard being patient when you’ve poured all of your energy into one thing for years and years, but if we can come out on the other side of this as physicians, then it was worth the wait!

At the same time, some of the accepted students who left deposits are waiting for other waitlists to move, so don’t lose hope!

this is so fair. I think I’m just trying to stay positive and hope that they’re just taking some time and will fill a couple of spots with people from the hpwl! I was thinking about calling to inquire soon too

hey guys, for those who have been accepted, do yall know how full the class is approximately?

Anyone ask admissions if there's a specific timeline for when we should expect waitlist movement or if we should expect any at all?
I called today. They said they haven’t started working on waitlists for this year (normally, they would have begun this time around). Probably by the end of next week, they will start reviewing waitlists. hopefully

In the past, applicants waiting in the threads have used either the groupme or the class Facebook group (if one even exists this year) to get a better understanding of how large the class is at a given moment and how many spots are potentially open...

If anyone has access, it would be much appreciated so the rest of us can determine whether 1) Stony overaccepted and there is gonna be extremely minimal movement, or 2) they are just taking their sweet time reviewing and planning to pursue a wave of movements soon.
