I just got an email thinking it was for the secondary but it was just a flyer saying we can text TUNCOM while in the application process lol.

Okay, so it wasnt just me lol. I thought they had sent me the secondary. Hopefully they start sending the secondaries soon!
 
Is anyone answering all the prompts? I have no new experiences to share that I didn't already mention in my primary but I'm not sure if it's something I should just repeat in the secondary responses.

Someone called the admissions office 2 cycles ago and they said
1. The most important question is the first one "Why are you interested in...."
2. They are expecting all of the essay questions to be answered as a short essay, not as a bullet point
3. With the exception of the first essay question, everything else is pretty much optional. The person who I chatted with said that you should only add info that isn't already discussed in the AACOMAS application. "Pretty much use this to update on anything that has happened since you submitted your primary application."
Their comment is in the 2022-2023 thread
 
Anyone else receive an email stating they did not meet minimum MCAT requirements? Received yesterday but my MCAT score is above their average matriculant score lol....

Before or after receiving the secondary? Probably follow up with them and double check the website before you do follow up
 
Is anyone else experiencing glitches with the application summary after submitting the secondary? Every time I try to access my application summary it tells me to "click here to download instructions" but then the screen goes away and all I see is the required requirements box with osteopathic medicine technical standards that is not received and my invoice. Not sure if there is something I'm supposed to submit aside from completing the secondary application.

There is nothing else to submit after you pay the fee and submit the questions. I was confused because the portal states the technical requirements form is required to upload, but I emailed admissions and they said you only will receive the form to upload if you are given an II, and so you will upload it then.

Is everyone just focusing on why you are interested and just putting a small paragraph of making a short blurb of all there experiences/research/hobbies/ecs and connecting it to how it helped for medical school?
Wonder how true the thing is since that comment is 2 cycles ago.

I was in the same position in 2022. I applied to the 2023 cycle, and I took an acceptance to start in 2022. I'm very happy with the decision I made and I'm happy to answer any questions you have
 
Hmm. Thank you so much for your time. Thiking about it now(since I actually didn't get secondary invite yet). I was looking at some website that list the question(like medschoolinsiders) and I think they changed the promot atually this year. Can anyone confirm this yet? This is what medschoolinsiders list:

1. How did you first learn about Osteopathic medicine? (250 characters)

2. Have you previously applied to the Touro University Nevada DO Program? Yes / No

3. If you have previously applied to the Touro University Nevada DO program, were you selected for an interview? Yes / Did not apply previously / No

4. If you did interview with the Touro University Nevada DO Program, what year was the interview completed? Respond N/A if you did not apply or were not interviewed.

5. If accepted into the TUN College of Osteopathic Medicine, would you like to be considered for the dual degree Master’s of Public Health program with Touro California University? Answering this question has no impact on your application to the TUN College of Osteopathic Medicine. Yes / No / Maybe

How long after the interview did you get an acceptance?
 
Applied for 2025, II email on Tuesday while on vacation for a Wednesday 5 hour interview. I received an acceptance email a few hours later for this cycle 2024 starting next week. 24 hour whirlwind, big decisions to make and little time to do it. What to do?

are you saying they applied this May/June for a spot this August? or did they start applying last May?
 
Are the technical standards sent to you automatically after filling out the rest of the secondary?

I was wondering the same thing, it says "The TUN Technical Standards form will be sent to you later for upload to the application summary page" within the secondary application, but I wasn't sent anything. With that being said, I did check out their website and I found this in the admissions requirements: https://tun.touro.edu/media/schools-and-colleges/tun/documents/TUN_DO_techstandards2017.pdf
 
@Vyaris @coco_ puffs so I looked over last years thread and it seemed it was sent to people if they got an ii. I found on website though and just submitted it, so I don’t think it really matters
 
Hi. Is it normal to only receive a payment receipt after submitting the Secondary application to TUNCOM? I’ve submitted mine 3 weeks ago but have only received payment receipt. I did not get an email acknowledging receipt of my secondary application. Is this normal for TUNCOM?
