Oh I meant that the side says the offers range from 100-250. Before there was no range. I mean that’s actually quite a lot if the minimum that gets off is 100

apparently they aren't answering the phone and are giving vague responses over email. I have work so I can't but if anyone wants to attend virtual office hours tomorrow to ask it would be much appreciated.

i'm literally preparing to move from California to the east coast for a job this summer but if UCLA calls I'd have to come running back? I know it's not personal at all but it's so wildly frustrating that I haven't been able to commit 100% to future plans since I interviewed in SEPTEMBER.

exactly i just don't really understand what the hold-up is for. The CTE deadline has passed. They've had A MONTH to assess which students they'd like to start pulling off the waitlist next. unfortunately for us though, the ball is 100% in their court and they know that students would be willing to drop everything a week before school starts to come here (or at least those that don't have A's elsewhere).

The school must have over-accepted accounting for applicants they may be losing out on due to lack of $$, leading to minimal WL movement. Sounds like WL folks will only be pulled off if ppl drop their PTE. Shouldn't the school drop the acceptances if they don't commit by the CTE deadline though? Isn't that the whole point of the CTE deadline? To keep things moving and finalize the class

Yeah seems like it but idk why they gave false hope that they would send more acceptances closer to June. Like they told multiple different students this which is so unfair. Literally led everyone on only to not release anything else. Lol I guess time to move on

I was able to squeeze in some time to attend office hours today during my break and a few students were asking questions about whether or not there will be more students coming off the waitlist. I’m not gonna lie it didn’t really seem super….optimistic. Basically they said the waitlist is still open and when they close it they’ll let students know. But also when asked about whether or not more offers would be sent they said the CTE deadline has already passed and they do sometimes see movement (I think they mean students dropping) after it but it’s rare. Judging by how they answered it they were very dodgy and it almost kinda gave the “vibe” that there will be minimal students getting off the waitlist from here on out. If anyone else attended and picked up a different vibe feel free to say. They did say that right now they really don’t want to overfill or underfill and that there’s a specific number that they’re trying to hit. Unlike before in like mid-May, they are NOT answering the question of whether or not more offers will be released or not. Based on everything they said, it seems like there currently isn’t any seats open and in order for them to send another offer a student would have to defer/withdrawal their position. I think they maybe anticipated more movement than what actually happened

doesn't really seem like. with all else equal, based on what the group me # was prior to and after April 30th it seems like they sent around 40-45 offers this year. definitely no where near there range of 100-250 lol

I want to preface by saying that I’m obviously not a spokesperson for the school I was just going off what they said during office hours. I highly recommend going for yourself next week and asking whatever questions you have so you can make the most informed decision

I’m about to CTE for a school bc I got in off the WL— I looked at the CYMS tool and it says my app for UCLA is no longer under consideration. Idk what this means for the rest of WL folk, but if you have an A maybe check CYMS to see if there’s hope or if they secretly rejected people!
