I emailed them and they said it was an AMP error that they were working on fixing. My portal got updated with my preview exam like 3 days after submitting.

I was told it doesn't impact it, they are considered separately from the admissions decision.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice or insight. I am IS, went here for undergrad, currently work here, and have average stats. Everything is submitted on AMCAS, letters assigned, preview done, and I was verified over 2 weeks ago. But I haven't gotten a secondary for the U??

I would reach out to them they said at an info session that everyone who meets the minimums for mcat and gpa gets a secondary

Anyone know if applying RUUTE can help your chances of getting an interview or if it's a completely separate thing?

It doesn't directly help as far as I'm aware (current MS2). I think it could help in the sense that they are looking for a certain type of student to come to their school, since they want students who they think will work primary care in rural Utah, but I don't think signing up for RUUTE itself will benefit your application. They never asked me about it and it never came up again during the admissions process.

For what it's worth, many people that signed up for it ended up dropping it after getting in. I had signed up for it because I was interested in the under-served aspect, but they are mostly focused on the rural part.

They have slots for students with different backgrounds. There are 90 slots for Utah residents, 10 slots for non-residents who went to a Utah school, 10 slots for Idaho residents, and 15 slots for non-residents. If you are a non-resident, you are competing with all of the other non-residents for one of those 15 slots, but not with any of the in-state applicants.

Very few, then a few more in December, most in February/March based on being in SDN last year and then talking with my classmates there as a new M1

I feel like this sub has been quiet for utah this year. Looking at last years thread, there were four pages of posts by this date. We are still on page 1. Maybe that means they are just being slow with invites this year. Hoping you get one!
