It’s an MMI, they are not looking at your file.
One of the stations allows you to talk freely about “why me” or “why UTMB”

It is not a lockdown browser. You may take notes however you want (note taking app, iPad, paper). General advice for these types of interviews (not just at UTMB) is to not read off verbatim from your notes (it's obvious).

Are your other schools already showing up?
If it isn't updated by the end of this week (holiday weekend & all) email them and ask them to please update your portal to reflect that you have interviewed, as you want to be sure you can rank them for Match Day.

Mine is also not showing up. I had 2 other interviews after them that are already present in TMDSAS.
 
For those who have interviewed, has UTMB showed up in your TMDSAS ranking page yet?
 
Has anyone else gotten that email regarding the mcat score ? If so how long did it take for you to get it? Based off the person who said they got it earlier in the thread with a 505 I've been expecting one i guess. I completed a couple weeks ago.
 
Also what does LM stand for.

I use cumulative overall but it does not specify. I would say that it is still only 2 factors/metrics and there are more that goes into an application, LM is just a quick way to glance where you stand (as some school might favor filling their seats with higher stats people first etc.) but just make sure you don’t forget about so many other (if not more important) factors like activities and essays.

It was an email that someone shared a post about very early here: Competitive

But please, guys, you don’t ALL get the same emails with the same wording so comparing what emails you got and didn’t get is a ticket to crazy town

I had some thought-provoking questions/scenarios I thought were genuinely interesting (but not challenging to answer!) and scenarios similar to the ones on Casper. I definitely overprepared, so don't overthink it.

They want to get to know you. You also have three whole minutes to read and prepare; it's a lot of time. I had some wonderful conversations with some of the students and faculty. Tip: always have questions ready in case there is extra time remaining at the end. They are so kind and personable, honestly, UTMB has gone higher on my list of schools to attend after that interview. You will all be okay!

Funny story: I'm in a different timezone than CST right now, so when I got on, I was saying "Good morning" to the interviewers, and noticed a bit of confusion, and couldn't figure out why (it was afternoon in Texas smh), until I met the fourth interviewer, a super kind lady, and told her "Good morning..." she asked me "Is it morning where you're at?" I just laughed and said, "Yup, I just realized I have been saying 'good morning' to everyone before this," and we had a great laugh together. It was a great icebreaker. They are so so kind.

TLDR; just like Casper, SDN questions helpful....the only way you will succeed is to stay comfortable and confident in yourself.

That is a funny story about the time zone and you will be memorable for it! Can you elaborate on the types of scenario-based questions? What SDN questions did you find helpful?
 
Hi guys!! To people who have attended the virtual Interview Orientation Day, do applicants have their cameras turned on?
 
Anyone contact UTMB regarding the school not showing up on the match system on TMDSAS? I interviewed here around 3 weeks ago and was wondering if I should contact them. Any advice? Also, if I were to contact them, would it be a good time to also send an update on my achievements?

Just FYI for the people who interviewed here and are wondering why they can't rank UTMB on TMDSAS yet:

The admissions committee said that their system is undergoing updates and they will be able to update everyone on TMDSAS after that is complete.

I got an email with the zoom link 2 days before the friday orientation

If I sign up on the Sign-Up Genius, do I also have to sign up via the portal? I see open slots on the portal as well but the email said to use Sign-Up Genius

I feel so stupid right now - I signed up for the October 29th interview date not realizing the Friday before I have an interview all day, so it will overlap with the UTMB orientation. What do I do? I feel so dumb I don't want to look like I didn't think things through before signing up. Should I email them??

What else to do?
Don’t over apologize, asking for a different day is ok as long as you do it in advance ( in this case over a month in the future is plenty of warning)

Do you by chance know what email to contact? They do not list one in the interview invite email...

you can change the date of your UTMB interview pretty easily through the sign up page you used to schedule it in the first place. I had to change mine initially as well.

In your sign up confirmation email, there should be an option to "edit my sign up". You can alter your stuff from there if you need to.
