I received the email stating my app was put into the queue for screening on 07/05. I have a service and research heavy app, a 518 MCAT, and a 4.0 post bacc - ~80 credit hours - GPA (overall 3.42). Also AFAIK and others can tell, I have no red flags.
It's been so long and it feels like I've probably been screened out but I'd be surprised based on my application.
Should I assume I have been? Keep waiting? Or should I send an email?

I would wait! I surprisingly got one with lower stats than you (MCAT 512, GPA 3.97) but I also don't know their screening process! I did not get one last year and when I emailed them they were like "just wait you're in queue" only to be rejected later on.

Bunch reported on cycletrack but none here. Interesting! Congrats to everyone who got the first round!
Maybe they had a second screening for general pre-medical neuroses that filtered out the contributors to these forums 🥴

/s (but not really)

I received a secondary invite on 8/13, the same day my primary application was considered complete because I finally had an MCAT score. Is this an auto invite?

They screen before sending secondaries: Admission Process
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! I was just surprised to receive it the same day that my application was considered complete so I figured they may have some auto invites go out for certain stats etc. Getting a screened secondary invite lets me know no big red flags in my primary app 🙂

They likely reviewed your app without an mcat score and then waited for your MCAT to complete the review

you can check MSAR for interview data. looks like last year they sent 721

Is anyone else's calendar not showing any available dates when trying to schedule their interview?

I added this school on 8/22 and still no secondary, am I cooked?
no, you are just impatient 😉
Vanderbilt will read your primary & doesn't send secondaries automatically to everyone, like some schools do.

Does anyone have more information about the interview format? The website says there is an asynchronous component. What does that entail?
I think they sent an email clarifying that, I think it is some kind of like CASPER-ish thing where you get prompts and then you record your responses. (I think)

Do we think the interview invites are still accurate? It's been sitting at the same number for a while with so many secondary invites sent out!

Didn't receive an email about that clarification, I'm still confused because I don't think vanderbilt does MMIs

Has anyone interviewed yet and willing to share about their interview experience? Let me know!
Did you have anything specific you wanted to know? The interview felt pretty standard to me. The Kira talent portion is basically like the Casper text scenarios.
