Any idea on when the next wave of A's will be?

Wow, Vandy is on top of things. They've already updated the website for next cycle

No, I don't think that is the case. They told us at my interview back in October that even if you didn't make it the first wave, you are still under consideration for each acceptance wave until after March! Then afterwards? you'll likely be waitlisted

Interviewed in Oct but not accepted in first wave, I'm assuming I should expect WL at best right?

jocko. i will make you proud. this was me this morning. except I didn't need to wake up for it. found this new strat huberman's been hiding.

The groupme is currently sitting at 155 members. There are roughly 15 upperclassmen and staff in the groupme. Not everybody joins the groupme so I'd guess around maybe 150 to 160 accepted so far. Their website says they accept roughly 260 students. Roughly 100 seats left for Feb and March.

Do you have the groupme link? Thank you!

I wonder if that's up to date. It also says they interview roughly 600 candidates, but the tracker states they interviewed 703 candidates this year. They also interviewed 727 people and admitted 330 people in previous years according to admit.org.
I think that includes people who got off the waitlist. However, at the Q&A session they stated they only moved ~12 people off the waitlist last year due to more people choosing to matriculate than they had expected.

I think them interviewing 600 and accepting 260 is for next cycle. Does anyone know what their website said for this cycle? Maybe they updated it for next year idk

Any predictions on what day calls will go out next?
According to the 2023 and 2024 threads, Feb 24th and Feb 23rd, respectively. Both were the last Fridays of the month. If we're lucky, we could hear back on Feb 21st. If they go by last Friday, then Feb 28th.

Did they call on a Saturday last year? Interesting. Thank you!!

How accurate is admit.org data? Because on there, it says around 330 admitted. But based on all our pooled info from the info sessions, it seems like they admit around 200-250?

I believe admit.org data is from last year's USNews report, so take that for what you will.

This is me just overthinking the entire thing now that we'll prob hear some A's next week, but for the final decision criteria, what is considered the most? Would interview the thing that would be considered the most at this point, because we can expect our applications were filtered through the MCAT/GPA/EC's when we received interview invites?

i got accepted by vandy back in December and was sure i wouldn't get in because my kira talent interview didn't go so hot; i felt a little flustered/shaky when doing it so i honestly thought it was over. however, i will say that my interview with my faculty member went really well. if anyone was in the same spot as me or felt weird about a part of the interview day, don't freak out!! i am an example of things turning out okay in the end 🙂 best of luck to everyone, sending love and care and all the good vibes!!!!

Hello everyone!
Today we'll see if some of us get good news or if we'll all get blue balled until next week, maybe even next Friday.

Does anyone remember if they said 1/13 interview decisions would be in this upcoming wave?

Im so sorry I feel like I talk to much in the thread! But based on last year's and the year before's SDN, late-Jan interviews received AA in the second wave. But based on what I heard from adcom (interviewed mid-Jan as well), they said it is unlikely for mid-January interviewees to receive decisions by the second wave. So we might, and we might not lol
