They said third wave is going to be early March.
And I think they always do the calls on Fridays.
March 7 is the first Friday of this month so….

I’m reading conflicting things about the time frame of when they call so idk. Is it noon to 6-7? Around 3-4PM EST? Who knows.
At this point just put me out of my misery 😭
 
can anyone who got accepted in February say when they received the call please😭😭

is there an objective way for us to know if the remaining spots are being filled now? Like on their website or smtg?

No, I think there’s nothing on the website and I’m pretty sure people would just report the calls here. Ik their website is very transparent but they don’t mention anything about As or remaining spots
 
Also keep in mind this is the final decision wave before waitlist movement so most likely they're looking at a larger group of applicants and admitting more students than in the previous two waves. Committee meeting may take a bit longer than previous times

Is that true tho? I head that the As in the third wave are the smallest 🙃
 
Did anyone else see the message that said "a little bird told them decisions would be released 11th March"? It was posted for a couple seconds but is deleted now

That could be correct and I might be wrong. I just figure from a practicality perspective the final wave is when the adcom essentially has to make the decision on what the final cohort will end up looking like, and so that they know who to plug and play off the waitlist as well so that would contribute to a longer potential meeting. Maybe this is just copium though - I have no basis in fact for any of this

Makes logical sense.
So I will huff this copium with you.
But I really hope that comment about them coming out next week is wrong bc the stress that this is causing me is unreal.
 
guys but i think this is a good sign, bc its not that some of us received and some didn't its that EVERYONE didn't receive? So we can still be hopeful!

Was about to say this.
I was nail bitting and refreshing this browser during the first wave in December and I remember seeing As being given out much earlier in the day than this. If you go look at the thread from last year (March 7 2024 I think) you can also see ppl posting about being put on the waitlist interspersed between the As. The fact that no one has heard any news is weird.

It’s either: this wave is smaller and maybe ppl who have already been called today just so happen to not use SDN and aren’t posting about it
Or: I feel like that “little birdy” comment was so specific about March 11 that maybe it’s true?

Yea, I remember seeing someone say "it will be available mid-March" and then it was deleted. So idk cuz i've been waiting since Teusday cuz someone also said it will be out on Tuesday lol

That’s really annoying if that’s the case
 
This is honestly just a wild guess, so take it with a grain of salt, but many institutions (esp T10 schools) released their decisions last week or the week before. Most institutions require students to accept their offers within 2–3 weeks. Maybe because vandy's offer rate and waitlist movement have been super unpredictable in recent years, they’re trying to see how many students decline their offers before deciding how many more to accept? Someone else also mentioned that they’re planning to accept more people this year, so by calculating how many students are choosing other schools, they might get a better idea of how big the third wave will be.
