Do any MSTP interviewees remember what the format of the interviews was like? Like more focused on why medicine/medical school type questions or more based on your research experience? Got an interview coming up on Thursday/Friday and I'm trying very hard not to freak out!!!

It was really chill, I felt like the interviewers were looking to have an honest conversation with you rather than seeing you do a 1-way presentation. I guess it depends on who your interviewer is, but for me it was very conversational, and only had time to discuss a handful of questions because it was basically a conversation.

I filled out the Pre-Interview Survey on the portal under the Interview tab. Seems that they'll reach back out to us with a date once we have indicated our preference for morning or afternoon session, but it was a little vague to me too

In my interview, the Director of Admissions said that letters of interest wouldn’t move the needle much, but that letters of intent might. She recommended that letters be uploaded by like early February, but said she would send more information at a later date. I haven’t gotten any info since then so idk if that’s still their process.

Ya this sounds very similar to what she told us and she ended up saying to wait until WL for letter of intent and not to send it yet

They're optional and done for your own convenience. If you aren't able to I wouldn't worry!
