The Charlotte campus doesn't have cadavers for anatomy lab, whereas, Winston-Salem still does, right?

How big of a deal is this ?
Only you can really answer that. But, one of the orthopedic surgeons I worked with went into medical school wanting to be a neurologist and loved the cadaver labs so much he decided to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Is there an accepted students GroupMe? Would love you hear your guys’ thoughts on the different campuses

Has anybody gotten in off the waitlist yet? Or do they not start moving people off the waitlist until they are done interviewing?

also waitlisted here, I went through last year's thread and saw no WL movement until May unfortunately, crossing my fingers bc this is for sure my top choice.

Does anyone know when financial aid/ scholarship packages will be available? 😅Thank you in advance!!

I heard that some folks were already offered scholarships. Does that mean if we didn't receive anything prior that we won't get any on April 15th?

Does anyone know what percentage of incoming students receive merit-based scholarships? And if we haven't received one at this point we probably won't?

I hope not 😅 I can't find any info online about percentage receiving merit-based scholarships, only that they have like 250 endowed ones.

Any idea if they’re still doing more interviews?
I would assume not. They had an open house for all admitted students on the 7th so that everyone could submit preferences for campus assignments. I assume they were doing that for everyone they admitted since there aren’t any other first look events mentioned or scheduled.

For those of you selecting this school - what's your reasoning behind it?

I had a meeting with a current student and an alumni that went on to do his residency at UCLA and fellowship at Harvard. The alumni said that on top of being a well regarded program, WF supports and prepares you so much for the following chapters after med school. The student mentioned how chill the curriculum is and how much free time they had compared to their friends at other programs.
