Can anyone explain the format of the team MMI? I'm not asking for specific details or questions! I'm just confused if its more roleplay with other people or working together to answer a problem or something else. Thank you!

I thought I absolutely fumbled the recorded one ngl, but the group interview I felt like I did well.
Any general and non-specific advice for prepping for this, or did it feel like you just had to do what you could and it was impossible to prepare for? I am struggling with how to approach this.

Hey guys! With As and the Interview cycle continuing to chug along, just wanted to hop back in and welcome any questions you may have about the CLT campus! (im one of the M1s)

how did you know you wanted the CLT campus? how's the structure and curriculum like compared to the traditional med school? i just got accepted but have no idea which campus i like more

Im a city person and knew I would thrive better with the urban atmosphere in CLT. I know I would have felt cooped up in WS. The curriculum, as they prob mentioned to you in the interview, is PBL based so everything is case based and small group learning. We have no lectures. That obv has its pros and cons but i believe it will be amazing for Step 1 prep and the cases emulate the real physician atmosphere since cases is how youre interacting with patients as a doctor, not lecture pptx slides. Ofc, this means that we have to go hunt info ourselves and theres a strong reliance on self learning and teamwork here. However, I also know all 50 of my classmates well due to the small group learning and thats not a vibe I would say most medical schools have

Do you think you're learning anatomy well enough (CTL is virtual anatomy lab, right?) to consider a surgical specialty? What's your opinion on virtual-anatomy lab overall?

Does anyone know if it is harder to get a spot on the Charlotte or Winston campus? I’m wanting Winston since my partner will be going to school here and my family is nearby.

for the people that interviewed 1st week of october, are we thinking that we will hear back on the 15th? or later in the month? i can’t remember what they said in the virtual session 🥲
Hey I just saw this, but I interviewed Oct 2 and I remember them saying late October / early November.

Would anyone who's interviewed recommend completing the one-way interview the day of the group MMI, or a different day before? I am pretty conflicted about it.

i would recommend completing it at the latest the day before the group session. they required us to complete it before the group session and i got an email with a reminder telling me to do it before.

Thanks! I got the email that said it needs to be done by 10 am EST the day of the group session, so I will make sure to do it the day before!

Hey y'all, did you guys send your Thank you post-interview to the new email or added it on as 1 of 5 application updates you can make?

Freedom's Greetings,

Well, we got waitlisted. Interviewed 10/15. Was waitlisted at Wake Forest last year in their January wave, so not going to lie this does sting a bit.
