yeah but they only interview till jan so probs like one batch left and its only septyale is non rolling tho!
they circle back around! Are they going chronologically? If i submitted around 7/27 should i just consider it rejection because it seems like they’ve moved on to august?
ggNo exaggeration - you guys need to look at the admit interviews from today for this school.
It's like they turned on a switch and everyone in today's wave has a 525+ mcat 😂
I submitted before you and got the II today, so I don't think it's necessarily chronological! Are they going chronologically? If i submitted around 7/27 should i just consider it rejection because it seems like they’ve moved on to august?
I'm out here repping the sub-515 gang!! We exist!!No exaggeration - you guys need to look at the admit.org interviews from today for this school.
It's like they turned on a switch and everyone in today's wave has a 525+ mcat 😂
The staff was very friendly, i had two 45-min interviews, one-on-onefor those who have interviewed already, how did it go? how long were the interviews?
what type of questions were they? Deep dive on your app, or more of a conversational interview with typical questions? The staff was very friendly, i had two 45-min interviews, one-on-one
Each interviewer asks 3 standardized questions, and each one has a few follow up aspects. Everything else is up to the discretion of the interviewer, but is very conversational. Completely open file.what type of questions were they? Deep dive on your app, or more of a conversational interview with typical questions?
Thank u for ur service mr. macrophage, wishing u the absolute best this interview season 🫡Each interviewer asks 3 standardized questions, and each one has a few follow up aspects. Everything else is up to the discretion of the interviewer, but is very conversational. Completely open file.
We are not allowed to disclose the standardized questions, but I will say that reviewing common secondary application questions or common interview questions is all you need to worry about! 🙂
can erik slide me an II PLEASElet it be known that erik choisy is an absolute GOAT
best adcom ever frlet it be known that erik choisy is an absolute GOAT
haha same like gimme a II or R alreadywhere's the next wave likeeeeeee

Introductions/orientation: (45 mins-1 hr) where you chill and chat with other applicants and they check your IDs, and then there is a brief presentation about interview format and timelinesAlso, for anyone who's alr interviewed, what was the interview day like (before the actual questioning)?
YOU ARE AMAZING. I LOVE YOUIntroductions/orientation: (45 mins-1 hr) where you chill and chat with other applicants and they check your IDs, and then there is a brief presentation about interview format and timelines
Interviews: (~4 hours total) there’s three different hour long slots when your 2 interviews will take place. In between these, you have the option to chat with the other applicants and the admissions dean (who is absolutely lovely)
Faculty Meet and Greet: (~30 minutes) Q&A with a faculty member - more about their work and practice than like the medical school itself, but a good opportunity to get a feel for the culture at yale!
Brief closing chat: (~5-10 minutes) where they wrap things up!
This was how my day was formatted (AM interview slot) but could be a different format for PM or other days! Go crush the interview!!!
For me, the introductions/orientation happened as they were verifying our ID's. We were in a breakout room talking with the director of admissions (who was leading the conversation) and they removed us one by one to verify our IDs.YOU ARE AMAZING. I LOVE YOU
Super quick follow-up question: when you're chatting with the other applicants during the Orientation Session, does that mean they're putting everyone into breakout rooms and just... locking you in there to talk to each other until they've verified your ID? Or does everyone just start unmuting in the giant Zoom call and let chaos ensue? 💀
Also, did you get any info about who your interviewers would be ahead of interview day, or was it all a surprise? :O
Good luck on the rest of your apps & interviews also, by the way!! ☺️
!! Thank you sm for the answer! It's comforting to have even a little bit more info on what interview day will be like 🥲For me, the introductions/orientation happened as they were verifying our ID's. We were in a breakout room talking with the director of admissions (who was leading the conversation) and they removed us one by one to verify our IDs.
I got my schedule with my interviewers' names 1-2 days before.
Based on cycle track around the end of February along with As and WLs.Any idea when Yale will send out a R wave?
When I went to sign up the earliest date was 11/11recent IIs would you mind sharing when they are scheduling out to? I feel like they're a little behind where they were last year but I could be delusional
it means standardized like they are asking the same three questions to every single person they are interviewingTo all the cool people who've already interviewed: may I ask what YSM means when they say they're gonna ask 3+ "standardized" questions? Are they "standardized" questions as in behavioral questions? Or are they "standardized" as in they're classic med school interview questions?
Also, for posterity: +1 OOS II, received 10/15, submitted 9/17!
+1 II OOS yesterday! earliest date was 12/9
complete dates? 🙂 congrats!!!+1 OOS II, received 11/6
9/3!complete dates? 🙂 congrats!!!
8/13!complete dates? 🙂 congrats!!!
In between interviews you can turn off your camera/step away@PM interview people: did you guys eat lunch at any point or did you just starve until the end of the interview day 💀
The general consensus is that letters of intent are best delivered after a waitlist decision (unless the school is Mayo)!for those who have already interviewed, have y'all sent a letter of continued interest or letter of intent? when would be a good time to do so?
After waitlist decision , but before or after May ?The general consensus is that letters of intent are best delivered after a waitlist decision (unless the school is Mayo)!
Thank you!! how about letters of continued interest? The general consensus is that letters of intent are best delivered after a waitlist decision (unless the school is Mayo)!
I would recommend asking one of the adcoms on this forum, but my impression from LizzyM was that they are unnecessary, as medical schools know you are still interested.Thank you!! how about letters of continued interest?
I would probably send it immediately after a waitlist decision, so that would be at the end of February or very early March. After waitlist decision , but before or after May ?
From what I've heard? Usually Thanksgiving/Early December is their last waveWhen does Yale stop sending II?
From what I've heard? Usually Thanksgiving/Early December is their last wave
From what I've been told, NYU, Yale, Mich, and maybe? Tulane are a little funky. Most will still be sending out IIs until January-ish (someone feel free to correct me)Omg I did not know they stop sending interviews so early
