I feel like I've seen mods say this, specifically, though. But it's usually a proactive thing like "such and such has requested a sub and will be mod killed if no replacement can be found"

But, Kara didn't say on the thread that devyn or Paws were looking for subs, so for the sake of consistency, probably not going to get confirmed this game, @Stroganoff
 
@Animal Midwife in case you were curious I'm over here "resisting" the shelter lynch because it's boring to have a runaway bandwagon on a player who isn't going to defend, not to mention nothing was resolved for me in terms of bj yesterday so I've gotta follow through.

Of course she's not defending herself or pushing me today so turns out I'm bored anyway.
 
shelter and bryndi have been the two leading vote getters for the last two days until the last minute surprise SAR lynch yesterday. I feel like with such high suspicion around, one of them is likely a wolf and needs to go. But one is being judged more on lack of participation vs one more on content. Looking at the "non participators," even Allie who looks like she is never around still has over 30 posts, as does most everyone. Shelter only has 6, and only one "informed" lynch vote, which makes me think she truly is just busy and its less likely a ploy to stay hidden. Then she just announced she is getting a sub which backs that up...

So i am going to lynch bryndyiana.jones, cause im all about more teddy.broosevelt!

If shes a wolf we've done our job. If its a miss then she is at least taken off the radar and people will be forced to start thinking of other options.

So I did a few searches ISO'ing @sheltermed. She's posted 7 times in this entire thread. Only her last post was done via her Samsung phone + Tapatalk. I assume the other six posts were done at a computer or something. It's an outlier for this thread, but it could be nothing statistically significant.

Then I searched just the Pre-Vet forum, and sheltermed posts from her phone every now and then. Maybe the last time was last Friday.

I feel like I could be overthinking/overanalyzing and could succumb to confirmation bias. Her post just comes across somewhat insincere.

[1] Aww, how sweet! She's encouraging us to not waste the lynch on her today. But that's logically redundant from the 2nd sentence in the post where she says, "I requested a sub," since we can logically infer that if she's subbing out, we shouldn't vote for her.

[2] She's "assure[ing]" us she hasn't been trying to fly under the radar. OK? That seems like a spontaneous utterance.

[3] Here's the lynch pin, pun intended. She repeats herself in the very next sentence but slightly rephrased! People who are lying generally ramble in their explanations because they have a subconscious need to persuade the listener of the authenticity of their lie. And to further seal the deal, she ends with a terminal "lol". Like, "Tee hee, haha! Guise, I'm lovable and cute!"

Things have been swamped at ER. hopefully after we fix this scrotum (whose scrotum? Who knows. @Melchizedek?) I can come back and read what has happened the last few hours. I haven’t seen shelter come back since I last read so probs staying there unless something dramatically changed.

Seems like an excellent wolf bluff to avoid getting lynched. The timing is suspect.

I'm here if anyone has any specific questions for me, I'm pretty **** at defending so I'll just do what I can with analysis while I'm still around.

this is, like, tin foil af. I read a few of the more recent posts that said **** about me under the radar. not spontaneous at all, I was literally responding to what was said.

my reasoning was not "I am trying to be subbed out, therefore you should not vote for me," rather, my reasoning is that I am a vanillager and shouldn't be targeted because I've been busy. you will be wasting a lynch cycle if I get killed today.

I (slightly) pushed one on d1 and I'd still be comfortable with it, esp after the tin foil theory about my huge wolfy sub lies

I have heavilily considered the possibility of strog hiding behind his "noobiness" and post flare. It's not the worst thing ever but it is certainly distracting and would be an easy way to look like contributing. So far I've seen a ton of fluff/flare/extra from him, some tin foil stuff, and minimal analysis. And I did not like how his contributions today have largely been "sway me this way or that, I'll go with the flow". This is a team game, but we can lose by being led by those who are outspoken and want to push for someone to die.

Re: the text I highlighted in red, I'm not more of a noob than pickles. Sure, this is my very first Pre-Vet WW game, and this is pickles's second game, period.

Here is a quote to back up my claim:

So there's my experience with Mafia and WW. The only thing "new" about me is I don't know the meta of the pre-vet folks, and the lingo y'all use is new, but overall gameplay I wouldn't consider myself a noob.

All this aside, I don't think it makes sense to lynch somebody just because they are a noob. I think people should lynch people who they believe are actually wolves. For example, my votes for pickles (I think Day 2?) had nothing to do with her nooblet status and everything to do with my suspicion of her posts (trying too hard).

I actually just reviewed that little Noobfest fight with pickles v stroganoff earlier, because of my strog suspicion. Going through it again it did seem fairly genuine and jovial. But as was pointed out strog was trying to use noob status to his benefit while vilifying pickle for doing the same.

Sometimes I think he’s genuinely nooby and trying wolf hunt and other times I think it’s weird how much he cares how he looks and if some of the jokes or whatever are meant to distract

I'm actually getting sick and tired of people accusing me of noobiness. I've said time and time again that I'm not new to WW/Mafia, only new to Pre-Vet. I'm being consistent in articulating my experience.

You're reading me wrong (as did Pippy). I never stated nor implied that I would "go with the flow;" i.e., a passive player who sheeps. That misinterpretation of my playing style is pretty irritating, since it's a huge pet peeve of mine (throughout life) to be misunderstood.

I was deciding between BJ and sheltermed, and if someone provides compelling analysis for me to want to switch away from sheltermed, all I was saying was that I could be convinced to change my mind. I wasn't at all saying that I would blindly go with the flow.

Now that I've explicitly clarified, I hope that nobody misunderstands this morning's statement any longer.

She's pulling at my heartstrings for asking for a sub but between her and Bryndi I think I get the most wolfy vibes from the content of Shelter's posts. Specifically that one with all the quotes and then "oops forgot I quoted these"

God damn it people, I'm not a noob and I challenge anyone to find a post where I hide behind some noob status. I have consistently been honest about my WW experience. I'm only new to pre-vet WW. That's it.

I really hope people stop pushing this narrative, because it misrepresents me.
