Lynch Allie
Trusting genny's read for the moment since the only check in the village column I had for Allie was the pickles lynch at the end of D2 - seemed a weird, conspicuous move for a wolf. POE has her in two of my possible wolf packs. I do want to reread some things...possibly during my lab meeting today.

Things that might helps me sort some things out:
@allieh8607 Do you have reads on Dina, MJ, pickles, and pip?

@Mad Jack any thoughts on allie, dina, and lawp?

@SportPonies thoughts on allie, pip, and pickles?

And @Lawper I know you said you were looking into me and Allie so I look forward to your insight there

If any of you have said those reads already feel free to ignore the tags if you don't want to repeat yourself, don't have time to go hunting right now but will later.

I realized last night I don’t have reads on Allie, so actually put it in my notes to check today. I just rolled out of bed so I’ll get you those in a bit.

Pip I still find wolfy. Pickles I said I thought was Village early game and stand by that assessment now. She’s playing precisely how i’d expect from village pickles

Do you have ideas for a third in an MJ/Allie pack? Or I guess in general what are your thoughts on who might be in a pack with allie?

I have some tinfoil happening that I'm trying to resolve before my paranoia forces me to post it

I still have a neutral pile that consists of Barks, Sporty, and Lawpy and would look there pending future VCA. I'd rather see the tinfoil posted tbh though.
 
Strog has been seeming increasingly sketchy to me mostly for reasons stated before and because he seemed to be defensive last night when he was getting more attention directed at him.

The other thing is if she was lying about being a village PR I don't necessarily want to expose actual PRs by going down that road right now. Which is why I was hesitant to post anything about it, I'm nervous about what might come out in the resultant commentary

People will just have to use their best discretion, I think, but it's up to you. One theory really isn't asking anyone else to claim.

Wanted to make sure I was remembering this correctly

On the surface it does look like Dina is pretty village, because of the early snowy vote and then snowy voting her later. My tinfoil would be to interpret that snowy vote as good bus placement (it was telegraphed the previous end of day that a snowy lynch was coming), and that the snowy vote for her and then reveal as "not vanilla" was coordinated to provide a double source of clearance.

Really the only reason this even occurred to me is that she is still alive, though there could be other very explainable reasons for that.

Anyway I'd rather clear up allie first because I'm curious why snowy chose to go back to pickles at the end of the lynch but never touched allie. I do need to look at the timing of the late snowy votes though. It's entirely possible allie thought she was tying it up, which would give snowy a chance of surviving the day, though it would also put herself in danger and look really bad.

I think, after going through this, that it's unlikely allie and dina are both wolves unless this pack just in general decided to get real fancy.
 
Just reiterating too that I am not asking anyone to comment on the tinfoil in any way that might out PRs or even mention the target of the no kill night because I don't think we need to do that just yet.

I think we're two mislynches from LyLo at this point (barring more successful protection) but math is hard so it might be three?

Reading this again, when did barks move neutral? I might be remembering wrong but thought you had her village based on the snowy lynch progression.
 
As promised, the thoughts on allie:
ISO'd her, and she's been consistent in her thoughts. Her play style has a deviation from the last two games she's played which is a bit bothersome to me, but in all actuality isn't too far from her old "quiet norm." I see nothing explicitly village-y from her in posts (have not looked at VCA) which is making lean wolfy on her. Not quite as wolfy as others, but wolfy.

@allieh8607 What are your thoughts on Paws/cubs, AM, Dubz, and MJ? Or like honestly anyone except Barks and shelter?
 
On the note of Barks:
Feels strangely like she's flying under the radar. Suspicion has floated around here and there but there's not been a lot of push on either side. She also doesn't follow up when she says she's going to and lacks conviction in her lynches (bit too amicable, willing to sway to the opinions of the veterans, relies on feelz.

Edit: I feel like pickles is leaning more villager despite my early game tunnels. I almost wonder if Bark was too aggressively against pickles in early game. Either way, she's super stealthy.

Also, I'm not feeling her reasoning for voting me. I haven't been terribly defensive recently when peeps wanted to lynch me.

Just popping in to quickly say --

Dubz, if you are actually one of the masons then just suck it up and use that to get people to drop your lynch so I don't have to waste a ridiculous amount of time later today going back and outlining everything I have for you on the non-village side and dealing with the inevitably cranky response.

You aren't going to both die immediately, there's still a protector, and the pool of potential people is getting narrowed enough where it would probably just be more helpful to get it out there.

The masons take the place of the seer by being mutual clears. This game is also heavily analysis based instead of mechanics so no one "gets lucky" per say. Play is rewarded for what it is at face value. Also, people would probably have to do seer cover for a seer to work in a open setup and I'm not sure that's a common thing yet.

There's still several hours until close with some not voting. I really don't want people PR crutching if it's not necessary. The dependency on PRs always makes me uncomfortable.

Ok, I'm just saying for my own sanity and because I value my time these days, I would appreciate not spending hours outlining something that is going to get negated in half a second later on.

Right now I'm pretty certain she's either a wolf or she is a mason, so until given evidence to the contrary, I'm operating under the assumption she is a wolf.

Wonder if it's possible for masons to help the other villagers out without role revealing their PR. I dunno what's been done in the past. When the total # of players gets low enough, it just becomes a POE/logic puzzle.

Genuinely wasn't tossing shade. As pickles told me a couple days ago, anything in the thread is fair game since it could be a legitimate issue that's not related to the game at all or it could be manufactured and used as a cover.

WW has definitely evolved on SDN since a decade ago. Our basics games in the Lounge had a seer as like the only PR. Maybe an angel. Later evolved to include different levels of wolves, then conversions, blocking, poisons, and paired villager roles like lovers who die together or switcharoo when one gets lynched the other swaps.

Then in the last 5-10 years, things got cray.

I feel like WW evolution in pre-vet has drastically superceded the Lounge because y'all play so many games. I just saw the Ideas/To-Do thread, and 😱 wow. WW. Srs business.

Good point to AM who said this is more of an analysis game vs. a luck game. I've traditionally relied on more luck.

Still 6 hours left. I'mma legitimately make a grid of the remaining players and try to make sense with 3 wolves and 2 masons...

I'd ask you to consider if you think I am a wolf if I picked up on that anomaly day 1 in tot chat and haven't attacked one of the two of you yet.

We could either have a village block here where we're going after people collaboratively, or I could waste my time tunneling on the wrong people. Might be better to have me spend those hours coming up with cases against people who might actually be wolves, just sayin.

If used strategically, if the masons both role reveal and vouch for each other, has it historically helped catch wolves faster? Could be a nice power play.

I was a seer once and found a wolf through dumb luck on Day 2, role revealed, lynched the wolf (which led to real life bitterness :laugh: ) and asked the protector to protect me, and we cleaned house with zero village losses.

The pool of suspicions I've been exploring has nothing to do with who is voting for me. I realized I had nothing to strongly indicate you were village (not your fault to some extent - devyn didn't vote in the snowy lynch) so I am exploring that option.

Again, I won't be role revealing unless I have to, what you choose to do with that is up to you. Sorry you had a rough night, I hope you're feeling better.

The current way they have been helping is through searching for wolves and attempting to not be targeted by wolves/staying alive. The longer they survive until endgame, the better the final poe will be.

Don't forget there's also a tracker and protector in the PR category. So at the moment, four living clears out of twelve players just waiting to push the remaining poe. Despite having only lynching one wolf so far, we're really in a good position right now.
