I've voted for Allie and Stagg so far. Not sure where I'd move to if it comes down to it to preserve Pip, but I might switch.

pressure voting D1 is just as sketchy as RNG in my mind, one is possibly wolf trying to absolve oneself of the reasons for voting and the other is trying to claim altruistic motives. It's like polar opposite approaches and both annoy me.

While we're on the topic, the reason saying RNG always feels disengenuous to me, is because unless you actually draw names from a hat or the like, then your vote is not random. This means there are reasons for your vote choice, and even if you claim there isn't then I'll just say it must be subconscious then. Unless of course you're a wolf, in which case I doubt subconscious > strategy. I don't buy that wolves have random D1 votes, either. But they definitely aren't going to give their real reason (dirty rotten wolf, is why). So claiming innocence on your vote choices is just sketchtastic to me. LAL lynch all liars. Don't lie D1 there's no reason for your vote folks, especially if you are village.

Woohoo I survived a cabin-in-the-woods bachelorette party. Glad to see my revenge vote didn't stick today.

On the topic of RNG, I just want to say that when I do do it, it truly is RNG from randomnumbergenerator.com or whatever it is. But I guess there can always be people that say it's RNG when it's really not.

The only post she made was with an excuse (likely legit and as a mouse-laptop-sufferer I kinda get it but still) and a “random” vote for someone with other votes on them already and not even an attempt at rationalizing? Idk just doesn’t feel like her. And the others that made me side eye initially started acting more themselves so here we are

yes, because I see little point in pressuring MJ, he seems to me to just play when he wants to/can, and these days it seems even more that he's busy. I don't think it's funny because I don't want him lynched early unless there's reason, him being quiet D1 to me is hardly a reason.

he's in this zone of semi-retirement where sometimes he pops in, and I don't want to lose him by making the game suck for him, like BS D1 lynching for "pressure"

I typically argue against sentimentality in this game, but I guess I've loosened up and thrown that rulebook out on D1. My D1 reasons are are stated, and do tend towards the emotional.

I'm not comfortable with 2 votes on him from the likes of AM and genny, with hardly any explanation

good to know. Some people say RNG when they really mean they're pulling someone's name off the top of their head. Top of the head is a thing, but to me it's different than true impartial RNG, and I tinfoil hat there are motives and subconscious things at play.

I completel disagree, especially in early game ties are good for village if multiple people will die because it gives two lynches worth of info in one lynch. So id love to get our RNG tie out of the way so we can move on to multiple death ties.

I agree the RNG could be BS, but why are you saying he didn't read the thread? seemed to me I didn't really catch good reasons from you and MJ either, and I did actually read the thread. (but we know my memory is crap, anyway...) so I'm not sure what you're giving Stagg a hard time for here, beyond the point about RNG.

When you think about parity, if things go in the typical fashion of 1 lynch death and 1 NK every 24 hours, having 2 mislynches and 1 NK, is basically taking a day away from village in terms of interactions, which is how we catch wolves. Same with having 2 people die in a lynch. It does not increase our chances of killing a wolf. It increases the chances of mislynching and hastening parity with wolves.

I don't want to be harsh, but your view is extremely anti-village on a very basic and practical level. It's practically doing the job of the wolves for them.

it's just making me wonder if you're wolf and one of either stagg or pip is also wolf and you're trying to get another name in the tie to either lessen the chance of your packmate getting chosen by RNG to die or to try to swing the lynch away from them in general..

I'm thinking about a switch to Snowy, because I don't want a 3way (did I miss a vote from the last tally? dunno). I'm thinking Snowy because I like Pippy's reasoning I quoted earlier. I don't like the Pippy vote, and I'm not married to the Stagg vote, but I might go back to it tomorrow. Or maybe WM because even if not a wolf that is just dangerous thinking for village.

That’s working under the assumption that village is so wrong that’s there is zero chance the tie is between a villager and a wolf, which is a foolish assumption to make. I would still rather see two villagers die in one go and get the info that they’re both villagers all at once than have a near tie, have a villager die, and then waste a whole day talking in circles to end up lynching the other person in the tie (which often happens). You’re not being harsh but it does feel you are being a bit patronizing/belittling. I understand that you disagree but I don’t super appreciate you implying that I simply don’t understand the game because that’s not correct, you and I just hold opposing positions on this topic.

Ok first of all, this game does not have the ratios for that

Second of all, you're describing a scenario in which both people are village, but in your ideal world, they die at the same time with the added bonus of NOT having an additional day of discussion? Am I reading that correctly?

This feels pretty tinfoil-y to me for the record. If the pack thinks a wolf was going down, it’d be pretty dumb to risk TWO going down.

Subtlety is a lost art. I voted MJ for the reasons you called out AM for, Cray. And said I could see voting Allie too, to remind her to talk. I think that's a reasonable approach to take Day 1, to encourage everyone to check in.

The way Stagg called me and MJ out rankles me, maybe because it's me he's calling out. But it could also be that it's that he picked two stand-alone votes to question, coupled with his sitting on an RNG vote. It's an easy way to fly under the radar.
