Wow , why is self preserving considered to be the normal course of action around here?

There are few situations where voting someone you dont scum lean just because they are the biggest counterwagon can actually be advantageous to town.

And Im not going to self prez as a VT on a random wagon
Because you're the only person in the game who you know for a fact is village. I mean sure there are situations where you might think you're an egg that needs to be cracked anyway or you know the other person is the seer or something but like, that's hardly the case on d1.

Remember last game when you when making a big deal out of how Pippy not self-prezzing?

coz Pippy was wolf and not just any wolf but a wolf with powerful abilities.
I am talking from a town perspective here.

I dont believe you lack the cognitive ability to distinguish between the two different situations of a wolf not self prezzing and town not self prezzing. I can only conclude you are doing this on purpose with dishonest intentions

I dont follow

SDN WW vogue revolves around the idea that if you’re village, you are the only person you know for sure is village and your job is to protect yourself over anyone else that’s unknown if it comes down to it.

I don’t agree that people should blanket self-prez. There’s a time and place for it

edit: ninja’d again. I need to stop playing mobile.

The other person being a seer happens waay more often than you'd think

Right, one involves me pushing the yeet through.

Now please answer my question from earlier.

Well see my memory has gone bad in my old age and I'm no longer the WW historian, so I'd have to consult @Animal Midwife for that 😛

That isnt the only problem with it.

Self preservation votes are essentially the same as randomly wagonning , you no longer have control over your vote and are a mere pawn of someone who started the counterwagon and you have no idea what their intentions are

I don't see how that's worse than letting yourself die and having no vote at all anymore but

1. Seriously midwife? You must have asked atleast 5 times as many questions to me as I have to you

2. Because VT/weak PRs have a different mindset as opposed to PRs.

If we are to believe this is a basics game, we shouldnt be overly dwelling on PRs anyway, just as we shouldnt be overly dwelling on Bobs conversion drivel.

It's not about you asking me questions. It's about avoiding interacting with anyone else.

Is that difference helpful to wolves or villagers when wolfhunting?

Because you've died using your voice and town, if they're playing well, should be following up on your questions and pushes because after you flip, you're a confirmed town voice with opinions that have been spelled out.

You speak as if this is a rare occurrence.

Self preservation leads to outing PRs all the time in my experience.
Even assuming a uniform distribution of the counterwagon between PRs/Non-PRs this should be happening approx 20 percentage of the time

And yet you've still allowed the loss of a town number in exchange for someone with unknown affiliation. Doesn't sit right with me. You do you though.

We play a lot of role madness games here. You can hardly vote without hitting a PR in a lot of games. More powerful PRs specifically? I wouldn't say self-prezzing leads to them being outted more often than the wagon just existing in the first place.

I don't have specific memory of the history of self prez consequences in basics games where the ratio of PR:vanilla is much smaller. That's what I was referring to.

I think we're kind of going in circles here though and it's a lot more WW game theory and preferences at this point than anything to do with affiliation, so this is my last word on it.

You know the first part is not true. Im not avoiding interacting with anyone

I do not know what you are driving at with that question , but lack of reaction to pressure / willingness to make enemies points more to VTs than not.

Okay, then let's see those pushes on your remaining wolf reads.

I'm saying vt vs pr is not meaningful to a villager. One is not more village than the other. This only has value to someone who has a reason to separate the PRs from the vanillagers.

I dont know what you are trying to accomplish here .
I just explained why there is a reason to seperate PRs from VTs

oh actually elaborate on this too

Dunno... just starting to get that not-so-phresh feeling. Dont like how she was brought up as a potential pack with someone and immediately jumped on that vote when given the chance.

Well the other explanation is we got really lucky and they're both scum :heckyeah:

This also felt weird.

Vis, I only said I agreed with what Bob had laid out with some soft sussing attempts. Like she kinda started trying to be "in" with the joking posts at first, but then backed out and threw some shade at other joking posts.

I'll iso her later to look for this

yeah heres some of my semi-serious thoughts:
genny & dubz - not wild about about them hopping on the mel train after me, although this is my first game with him so idk there could be context to this I'm missing
Mel - his comment about Dubz' entrance right under mine just really felt weird to me, idk how to explain but just the fact that 30 minutes later he made the same comment about one of the first posts of the game when he had been on way more than me just feels weird
Bob - need to think about more, so far not really a fan, more below bc he brought up the C word
Cubs - sus for the fact that he said Apple fritters were the best when they arent even donuts

I'm interested in seeing your updated reads.

Yeah ok. Both of you have forgotten how I wolf then.
I don't think its a bus. I think it might be an attempt to get a villager voted off. There's been discussion about mkg but not a lot of action so I wouldn't put it past you to see village considering an incorrect pack and vote within that false!pack.
