I think u have presented urself in a very townie way, and I think with your experience, you have a very good handling of the game and these players, and with this being a new environment for me, and even if that wasn't the case, I like bouncing off players, my ability to concentrate has gotten worse over the years, + with the lack of good way to keep track of player's post counts, no automated VC, and no full iso capabilities, it only increases my problems

I think Zuri and Midwife focusing on each other is bad for day 1 progression

Last open one was CYO III. Last closed one was Omitted.

Anyone who has played games I created or played with me knows I love mechanics. I am the anti-midwife. To me, the most fun is finding wolves through mechanics. Having said that, the discussion yesterday is off the rails and mostly a waste of space so early. If I were a wolf, I would just sit back and watch the village burn. No need to stick your neck out when everyone is distracted from the job at hand.
So to me, those who added little to the mechanics discussion are actually more suspect than those involved. Just as a presumption between 2 people equally suspicious or not.
so, let’s cut that out and focus on finding the bad guys.

having said that, I find it extremely weird that AM didn’t go off on her usual mechanics rant to the degree I recall her doing. Now, maybe she has mellowed in the past year, but that does put her on the more rather than less wolfy side, but I tend to be suspicious of her every game I play so not ready to go there yet.

im gonna stick with my PSV vote cause she has said little of value, and her reply to my yeet, was a joke.

I'm post capped. To prevent all my posts from being used up on something that isn't helping village, I'm trying to limit myself. If this is still going at 8pm though, things will look a lot different.

Not letting it go because "being too out there" is a large part of why he won it for wolves last game. I expect to see wolf hunting of other people and not just intentional disregard of experience that doesn't fit his narrative.

I'm not sure I feel good about voting for genny personally. I feel like a wolf wouldn't just come in and say we shouldn't hunt wolves because 1) they know wolves exist 2) If a wolf, I feel like they would've carefully read the rules to see if wolves are already mentioned.

I don't like that veggie and moth piled on voting for zuri, but also I think this may be some bias from the last game..... not sure the logic behind moth voting for veggie since they basically did the same thing. I do agree with moth though that "Those Who Slither in the Dark" from the character list/description at the beginning about darkness overcoming all is likely the wolf faction. I mean I'm not 100% sure, but there seem to be hints.

Japanese Role Playing Games. Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles, Dragon Quest, Persona, Pokémon… they typically have epic stories that by the end encounter god and/or the apocalypse, huge ensemble anime casts, turn-based stat-oriented combat systems, and a mostly silent protagonist who the player can name after themselves, but with a main story that’s pretty much the same with some branching paths. Contrasted with Western RPGs like Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, where combat is typically real-time, the story is often set in a big open world where the player’s story might include spending time with any number of side quests/sections of the world, and the player-character is more likely to be very customizable and have a lot more to say in cutscenes.

JRPGs include some of the greatest games ever made but they can be a real slow burn, often including at least 10 hours where almost nothing’s happening and you’re just learning new system after system.

I think assuming that anyone who is focusing on wolf hunting is a wolf is looking at things entirely backwards, sorry. Wolves would be more likely to take advantage of the faction setup to direct attention elsewhere. No reason for them to ignore it when they can use it to their advantage, or may even assume that everyone is focused on the other parts of their wincon. It's not like they don't know it's a faction game.

I don’t think (?) the point was “if wolfhunting, wolf” but “if acting as though there are no factions among villagers, as a wolf likely wouldn’t have that knowledge, that’s wolfy”. But that’s how I feel so I may just be projecting.

I think zuri's aggressive interrogating seems to stick out like a sore wolfy thumb. But I wouldn't be shocked by past game bias. Which also makes it really hard to tell the difference between village!zuri and wolf!zuri. I've never seen how zuri plays village, but considering he seemed to really fool fluff our last game, I'm assuming it's very similar. For now I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I'm scared to be wrong again.

I've only played one game, but they tended to be pretty quiet, so I'm trying not to let that influence me. Considering we misyeeted noob village for being noob...

What's making you think PSV. Is it because they've made minimal posts which being a (I'm assuming?) a more experienced player. Conversely, a noob I'm more hesitant to question being quiet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Again, I think you're looking at it a bit backwards. Villagers know their main goal is still wolfhunting, or at least some of them do. We don't know what wolves were told or how complex or simple their wincon is (another assumption you're making with...no reason unless you have access to wolf chat). Wolves do know it's a factional game, and may assume that everyone else is going to be focused on their factional wincons, since a lot of factional games are structured that way. genny making a statement about the game being about those wincons rather than wolfhunting is quite simply a perspective slip as someone who doesn't know that wolfhunting is still the goal for others

I do think it's likely wolves know more about the other factions than it being simply wolves vs village, whether it is part of their wincon or not. Otherwise, again, the game would be breakable by mass claim, and Sporty doesn't design her games that way.

Yeah to be clear I don’t think you’re wolfing together, I am trying to clarify why a couple people loudly and immediately challenging my theory didn’t lead to me throwing it away immediately, because I’m going to start with the assumption that someone could be shutting it down as a wolf. It still doesn’t really make sense to me for the other 2 houses to have wincons that are fully unrelated to any other faction based on what I’m looking at, but if I were right I would expect more people to be agreeing with me or at least not finding this argument so sus, so my confidence in my theory is waning.

I just have 2 people very loudly telling me my assumption is wrong which feels very possibly like a Wolfpack doubling down on me to refute the argument I’m making that would out them. I am inclined to believe that if you and AM are wolfing together that you’re experienced enough that you wouldn’t be so obvious about it but idk

The mistake is assuming that houses = factions, which I think is a leap that you might be getting stuck in, zuri.

I had a very busy day yesterday and I’m traveling today! I am reading and trying to keep up while formulating my opinion.

Right now it just seems that people are yeeting randomly on no basis. There really isn’t anything to go off of yet, so I’m not sure how I feel.
