Fire Emblem: Three HoWWses Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I guess if you felt the need to point it out, I assumed it was because you thought it was crossing into what you thought was wolf!AM territory, but I guess that isn’t how you’re reading it currently.
Again I wasn't really trying to point anything out, it was just a casual jesting response

April: Makes a post pointing something out.
Also April: “I wasn’t trying to point anything out.”
What GIF

I can empathize cause that had been my approach too and I hate pressuring ppl. But to avoid falling into false assumptions I now tend to go with “neutral unless soft cleared or moved to wolfy”.
But take your time. And remember it’s the nature of the game, ppl will question you to try and prove a narrative or to figure out where you stand in their reads. It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.
I mean there are more villagers than wolves so everyone is more likely village?? Also I’m not sure I agree with your point earlier that the mechanics shouldn’t factor into our approach here. Like as far as I can tell the multi-aspect elements here make things a lot more complex than wolf vs. village and I feel like evading that is suspicious

Edit: this post was meant to reply to a post from AnimalMidwife. I must have clicked Fluffs post on accident. Sorry!!

Wrong answer. Wolves exist so they need to be voted.
(Oh btw! If you were following my real life saga from last game, my family member is out of the ICU and recovering well <3 I did just get a promotion though, so work is chaotic. Long story short, unfortunately my job still takes precedence over ww games so I am usually out of pocket between 10-7 CST, but I never miss votes!)
Hate to be “that” guy, but trying to gain sympathy from real life events is potentially wolfy. I have done it, I have been taken in by it ( I haven’t forgotten @DVMDream , and have seen it other times). Chica is on my potentially naughty list.

also, tbh, I am having a hard time separating inside jokes, theme related fun, real posts and the like. maybe you gals and guys can’t use sarcasm font or something when joking around so I can stop trying to figure it out?

edit: please ignore the AM quote. Not sure how that got there. Certainly agree with it though.

Interesting that Dubz and Zenge had two different expectations of my response
He was talking about a different post though.

I hadn't followed that your "you're missing jokes" post was in response to something AM said to you. So initially I was like "Eh?" at you pointing it out because I thought it was an outside observation. I'm more okay with it in the context that it was a direct reply to something she said to you (though to me it was clear that she was also joking).

This has nothing to do with anything but how do some of you have 60K+ POSTS ON SDN WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
"Some of you"

Mmhmm I know you're talking about me

Erm does this mean "traditional wolfpack" as in it exists as its own separate faction outside of the others, or are there wolves within the other factions?
Well it seems this will not be answered, based on Sporty's hmm lol

Fair point and not going to argue it because I was wolf last game while this all went down 🤣 But I’m also pretty transparent with my schedule and commitments so that folks on all sides of the game know what’s up and why I’m not responding. Unfortunately the “this person must be wolfy because they didn’t respond until 6pm” train runs away sometimes, and it’s really sucky to be that person who is coming off a long workday at the hospital just to find yourself on the chopping block for not being able to respond to accusations 🙁

Unrelated to anything but this music is looping in my head every time I look at this thread:

Oh woods I was replying to the wrong post. It was supposed to be one of animalmifeife’s posts
We don't even know what the other factions are. The only thing we know is that wolves exist so we should hunt them until the other factions prove to be a greater threat.

Posting this again to clarify it was responding to this from animalmidwife, which I apparently can’t quote in an edit:

You said I'm likely village though. I also had no reason to assume it was a joke given it's your 3rd game.

It feels a little more serious and organized, I think. If she was trying to play up a chaotic 3P in this noob game then this might be NAI for village/wolf here. She was a wolf in the previous noob game, right? I think she also felt looser there than she does here if my disaster of a memory bank is feeling out metas correctly
No, I was village in my noob game. I don’t think I was trying to play up the chaos? I was trying to be a helpful Padawan (for both villagers and woofs) but I don’t know if that came through to the ppl in manator/ tot chat

I mean it’s safe to assume there are the 3 houses.

Ah makes sense

FWIW, recognizing everyone's entitled to their own opinion, I think it can be dangerous to assign affiliations based on mechanics assumptions. Known and straightforward mechanics/clear writeup hints are one thing, but I often find incorrect assumptions are made when people try to fill in gaps between mechanics knowledge with guesses and it can lead to incorrect yeets

Ah, finally caught up I think. I honestly didn't see that the game had started until zuri mentioned me lol
We’ll fwiw I almost certainly wouldn’t know the thread was open if it weren’t for fluff, so in that since I probably don’t count as a representative of noibgameawareness. I miss @Wondalfy and @chicandtoughness tho
Not sure how I feel about this since last game you were also super nice to me and we all saw how that turned out... (not in my, or village's, favor) 👀 Although I do appreciate the sentiment.

Also kinda see this since in my past game two wolves claimed being busy with irl things. But some villagers did have irl situations as well that they explained. 🤷‍♀️ it was also a noob game though.

Posting this again to clarify it was responding to this from animalmidwife, which I apparently can’t quote in an edit:
Yes, everyone is more likely village just as everyone irl is most likely never going to murder anyone. That doesn't mean detective should not actively try to catch them asap though.

Wolves have a 0% chance of being village and villagers have a 0% chance of being a wolf. The only way to distinguish that percentage is by sorting as many people as possible into the right categories. The only way to sort as many people as possible into the right categories to make people talk.

If the manators were voting in the most recent noob game, you would have been yeeted many times over 🤣 not trying to make a dig at your play, the vast majority just thought no one on thread was catching your wolfiness lol

I think it did actually, people mentioned that you were being super helpful lol

But there are the five assigned groups, so it could be 5 different factions.
The roster groups shouldn't be assumed to mean anything for game groups

Doesn't mean they don't mean anything, but we have no evidence of that as of yet

I did mostly point it out as a way to say three doesn't need to be significant either, but I forget people can't read my mind (doubly so over the internet). I'll be more explicit in the future.

Based on the wiki of characters, there are more than 3 categories/factions, no?

For someone who takes these games so seriously there’s a lot of things you conveniently haven’t paid attention to
I'd be concerned if AM in particular came in here talking about flavor and mechanics lol it's not how she plays

Ngl I also didn't know there were 3 houses. But also I don't feel like the game would be limited to just the 3 houses since there are at least a group of wolves as well

Gonna be honest, I do not have time to do extra research here. I was just clarifying what zuri was saying by there likely being at least the 3 houses present. That much I know from listening to Sporty talk about the videogame lol

That is just so many people. This is why I haven't ever played a JRPG, and probably never will.

I mean that's not at all what they were implying, just that for every person you talk to, there is a statistically higher chance of them being town, not that, that line of thought is relevant, because it's not

But this back and forth is relatively pointless in my opinion, unless u think that line of thought makes them wolfy

I mean, I already said he's in my POE.

Glad I'm not the only one having a hard time lol. I make the same assumption. made the mistake of seeing excess jokes and memes as inherently wolf, but I now think it's NAI even though deep down, it feels wolfy...

There are technically 5 factions
The 3 houses, the church, and I guess the rebels (the flame empire) to put simplistically, though again idk if that plays any part in anyone's alignment

The death knight is part of the flame empire, and to avoid spoilers I won't talk about them much
