I got this email as well, but they say “the results of your application” but that sounds like final decisions doesn’t it? I thought they were doing interviews through zoom though.
They are doing interviews through zoom this year.

LOL y'all don't fret. They sent out rejection emails today, so if you received that update instead of a rejection, there's a fat chance that you're still in the running! I'd bank on good news honestly. Good luck!
WAIT WHAT!? 😱

Do you know if anyone received a rejection email today?

While they said they are doing zoom interviews, I do find it odd that they said “results” rather than “we are sending interview invitations in 7-10 days to selected applicants” or something of the sort. Probably just reading too much into it I guess.

Lol it's honestly all good and I'm surprisingly not upset at all haha. I've already committed elsewhere which I guess helped diminish the pain. In the rejection email they give you a reason as to why they offered you that decision and give advice on how to improve your application for the next cycle to be considered even more competitive. I thought it was honestly nice of them to do that without us having to ask or beg for a file review like other schools. Even when you're rejected, KSU is still nice haha. But good luck to you all!!

Congrats on your spot at another school! If you don’t mind me asking, what school has already given out decisions? That’s awesome that it was so early in the cycle.

That is so nice that they gave feedback as well! That’s a lot of work on their part, very nice.

I believe that rejections sent out today were strictly academically based. I would assume that’s what they meant by “we have completed the application evaluation.” I would predict that more rejections are to come when interview invites are sent out within the 7-10 day time frame.

What’s the difference between the evaluation and reviews of our application?

I think evaluation means evaluating that you meet all academic requirements. A review would be the anayisis of your entire application once you make it past the academic requirements to determine if you receive an interview or not.

Wait yall I didn't get a 7-10 days email... and I also didn't get a rejection email..... haaaaaa I'm panicking. Should I email them???

I also got a rejection yesterday, but I knew I wasn't incredibly competitive either. Hopefully some other schools come through, but if not there's always next year!

I got the email about “7-10 days from now”. I’m a 2nd time OOS applicant. Last year I got an alternate interview position.

I have a weird problem. 10 years ago, I did not do well in school at all. I failed a bunch of courses ad this has unfortunately haunted my transcripts but I did re-take all of my failed courses. Per K-State's website, I can replace a failing grade by retaking the course. So, in my freshman year, I ended up failing Bio I. My first university called Bio I, introductory to cellular and molecular biology and genetics. The course description is simple but it mostly suggests the same topics covered in Bio I. The only prereq for this course was College Algebra. When I got my denial email I was confused because I haven't failed any other prereqs and I obviously have replaced this biology course. I responded to the email and the admission person stated that I failed genetics and told me this course fell into the genetics category. I was a freshman, with no other biology courses so this certainly wasn't a genetics class. I am also in the midst of taking genetics this semester.

I responded with the course description and prereq information. I also emailed my previous school so that they can give me a statement validating my claim that this course was biology I. With that, I am not very hopeful that I will still be considered. Has this happened to anyone else? I am now freaking out that other schools will mistake this for a genetics course due to the name.

I would definitely call and speak to the admissions office and try and get this cleared up. They all are super nice and should be willing to help!

Thank you! I ended up contacting admissions and provided them information to show that my previous class was actually Bio I and they decided to consider my application and moved me to the evaluation phase!

Does their website say anything about a required science prereq GPA? I can't find anything regarding it.

Well technically, we didn't get that email until Saturday so I am pretty sure we might hear back on Saturday since it would be the 7th day. I am just saying that to myself so I don't spam my emails today.

There is not a specific science GPA, but they require a 2.8 pre-requisite GPA.
I was denied based on having a 2.78 science prereq GPA which is why I was wondering. I still have quite a few sciences to do that fall under prereqs so I know that GPA will improve, but I was a bit taken aback as I didn't realize that would be calculated.

I have been refreshing my email constantly

Same, and I got nervous because I came on here and saw people had been commenting and thought maybe I didn’t get an email UGH I hope it’s today just so I can try and relax over the weekend

My email came in around 12pm last Saturday, so I think that if they were sending out decisions today they would likely do so around the same time! Hopefully tomorrow?
