Now is not the time to get down! Here is my guess of what is going on.

They are sending a special letter from Erie that is going to beg you to change your mind and switch from Seton Hill because Erie wants all of us outstanding SDNers for their secret competition against Seton Hill.
Meanwhile, the professional calligrapher they have drafting our acceptances is taking longer then they anticipated so the actual acceptance is going to take up to 30 days.
 
Hey! My status changed as well! It says 30 days and I don't have a drop down box, I didn't choose Seton Hill though. I am neurotic as well so I went through last years thread to make sure people got accepted when their portal says they'll recieve notice in 30 days...they did get accepted! So, I think maybe it has to do with something about the campus you select? Hopefully! I have to work today too and won't be home till 5, I just hope this acceptance comes today so I can stop freaking out about it!!! BTW- I am in Pa :luck:
 
reading all of your posts about the wait after the interview sounds so awful and is making me nervous!!! i have my interview on august 13, i was not as nervous until i read this thread haha good luck to all of you who interviewed!

You will be okay. All the super anxious and neurotic people applied the first day and got in that first interview on 7/16. :laugh:
 
nothing in the mail today 🙁 hopefully tomorrow will bring some good news!!!
 
I do not want anyone to take this as gospel, but last year's cycle if the portal changed to you will receive a letter in 10 days was a good indicator that you got into Erie. If it said you would receive a letter in 10 days and Seton Hill's tab was up, chances are that is where you were accepted to Seton Hill. If your portal said 30 days, it was hit or miss. No one last year said they were flat out rejected (maybe they just did not come back to the site to report) others were waitlisted, and others had put PCSP or ISP as a first choice and they wanted to look over your file again to determine if you were a strong enough candidate for one of those programs. Again, it could be completely different this year but that is how it went for our class (2014) that started today.

🙁. I was hoping it was more of a people in PA or nearby had 10 days, and farther away was 30 days.

yeah not a cool post at all! not cool at all... anyway, I did see that there were people who got the 30 day notice who were accepted last year...so we can still be hopeful!
 
Did you see anything at all about 10 days in the last thread?

I'm up to page 18 and I have not seen any evidence that supports what he says. Most people don't even mention their decision notice. Maybe he its remembering incorrectly.

Well, there are 4 of us that have 30 days, and 1 that has 10 days (they wanted seton hill however). I think we should be fine. Hoping for the best👍
 
Haha yeah I am at post #900, where they talk about the 10 day vs 30 day thing...it doesn't seem there is a lot of people who got into Erie with a 10 day notice, only people who got into Seton Hill or had Seton Hill as their first choice had the 10 day notice...also it seemed like people with the Seton Hill drop down box were accepted to Seton Hill...

I hope we're all freaking out over nothing and get our acceptances tomorrow! :xf:

HockeyDr- Good point about us 4 having the 30 day notice and only one person from Seton Hill with the 10 day notice!

PS- at least this is a good activity to do while watching the X-files

I am going to need to start dying all the hairs on my head that are turning white from this waiting. 😉
 
Alright guys, I just got off the phone with a friend who was accepted to LECOM last cycle; his status said 30 days.

Thanks! Good to know! I don't know how I'm going to concentrate on work tomorrow though!

My Portal says 30 days, as well. Hopefully we find out tomorrow
 
Also 30 days. No Seton Hill drop down (listed them as #5 though).

I got my first med school interview invite from here this morning via email for sept. 10th!! I've been 'under review' since the 16th'. :woot:
 
I interviewed on the 16th and have not received a status change to my portal. Is there anyone else in the same boat?
 
Just got my e-mail inviting me for an interview. SO EXCITED 😀 Who else has one on sept 10th?

Right now, LECOM is like a cheating girlfriend to me. They won't give me a direct answer, I can't ever get ahold of them whether it be through phone or email, and they are showing love to all my friends and not me. Now I am finding out about all these other people. /sigh lol
(under review for over a month)

Haha, congrats! They didn't receive my payment until 20th. I guess I might have to wait longer..🙁

I'll be joining you on the 10th as well and this'll be my first interview as well. I've been "Under Review" since before the 4th it looks like they do their invites in waves.
 
After you submitted the secondary, how long did it take for your status to change from "your supplemental application has not been received." in the portal website? I got an email this morning saying they received my supplemental, and the receipt will come later, though I received the payment receipt a day before the e-mail saying my supplemental was received. Just making sure everything is in good order.

Just curious, did you select ISP or PCSP as your top choice? Did you state on your application you would be re-taking the MCAT? Maybe they are still waiting on something or want to talk over your application more.
 
Nothing from LECOM in the mail today 😡
 
Ill be interviewing on september 10th too!

StarStup, I am from Ohio. About 1.5 hrs. away from LECOM.
 
Dang, nothing here either! I am hoping tomorrow then...if they sent the letters out monday, they should be here tomorrow...

see, I'm grasping at straws here...I just hate feeling so nervous when I walk into my apartment and expecting to see the LECOM letter

No, my first choice was LDP and my second choice was the independent pathway. The only thing they need is a letter from a D.O. which I have ready to send (assuming I get accepted .)
 
I've been "under review" for a month now. Getting frustrated with them. I've called 3-4 times and never gotten a person to talk to, never gotten a call back despite numerous messages. I had problems where they deleted my LORs last year so I was never considered. Overall I'm not exactly impressed by the erie campus. You'd think they'd at least give me the respect of a call back after 4 messages to inquire that everything in my file is set...
 
I'm in the same boat, dude. When I called yesterday they said their new class just started and everyone's been really busy so that's the reason for the delay. I've been under review for at least 3-4 weeks now :-/

I'm one of the people that had problems with the payment too. As intriguing as the school is the whole lack of being called back, get a person on the phone or even get a courtesy e-mail is starting to turn me off.

I live near Pittsburgh, about two hours from Erie. Nothing for me today from LECOM, either. 🙁 Torture....
 
Does anybody know how far in advance of our interview the letters of recommendation need to be received by LECOM
 
i dont think ive seen anyone who applied to both LECOMs get interview invites from both schools. maybe if u have an invite at one, u dont get one from the other campus until later?

My committee letter didn't arrive until the day before I had my interview and they received my DO letter the Monday after, although you don't need to have the DO until they accept you. LECOM didn't mention anything about my letter being late and it hasn't delayed the process as far as I know. If you have them now then I don't see how it could hurt if you just send them in. Good luck!:luck:

PS- is anyone else totally emotionally eating from all the waiting? Hahaa! I just had ice cream for dinner! Haven't had ice cream in a few months!

:laugh: I'm the exact opposite. When I get stressed my body dysmorphia gets worse and I get really strict on my diet and over work myself in the gym. Hence the 3lbs of cooked chicken in my fridge, the fact that I've been eating every 3 hrs and I can currently barely walk from my leg workout yesterday
 
What subjects will qualify for the Behavioral Science.
OMAS application shows that I have​

3.00 credits in Behavioral Science however my LECOM website folder shows that I need 6.
I have over 50 credit hours in bio. Any one else have the same issue?

Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy (I used a Sociology and a Philosophy course to fulfill mine last year.)
