I agree with DVMD that there are things genny has said that made me have some feels, I even mentioned it yesterday and if I hadn't been concerned that I needed to make a self preservation vote, I would have voted for her. I could also vote for trilt, but I'm reluctant because I may be influenced by the fact that she's gunning for me.

I'm going to reveal some things to a pm partner because I don't feel like outing it all on thread. I'm really not super active in the beginning of games and I have been super busy since this game started. If someone wants to suggest another reason they think I'm sketchy, I'll address those issues also.

Well for starters, you voted to lynch PBC yesterday even though you admitted you thought she was probably being truthful about being a villager. You could have easily revealed something about your role here or with a partner to get votes off you, but instead decided to lynch someone you yourself thought was a villager. I find that really weird. She was still a few ahead from what I remember, and it wasn't like we had five minutes till lynched closed or anything. There was time to save yourself if it came down to it instead of piling on someone who was probably a villager.

It's down to you and trilt for me today. I don't know what to think about Genny yet, but knowing who the seerer was and them ending up dead isn't going to help them.

I also gave a reason for voting for PBC other than just self preservation. I also felt that given the timing and the fact that I was a few votes behind her (two I think including my vote on her) that I could vote for PBC and watch the thread before decking to role reveal. I didn't have any reason to trust anyone in my group, so I didn't want to reveal to any of them either. I have revealed to someone now though.

For past game play? I think that's kind of a crappy reason to lynch someone, as I said last night. Especially when you say you think they're villager. Yeah it was day 2, but we shouldn't be lynching people who we have info on and are probably villagers.

So you voted for someone you think is a villager out of self-preservation? What's the point - we lose a villager either way. Why not instead say "hey guys, I'm a villager. Here is who I think has higher odds of being a wolf (and why)?" instead of just deciding to throw another villager to the wolves?

No because I think it's more valuable to the village to keep someone who plays for the village when chaos as opposed to someone who plays for chaos as a villager. One of us was getting lynched yesterday and I know for sure I'm a villager, so yes I'm going to pick someone who I'm not certain of over myself.

I must have missed this.... can you reference the post? (I mean, I know that I said I felt like Trilt was townie, but that was just based off of Trilt's early-game play, which seemed pretty focused on finding a wolf.)

Are you implying you think PBC is chaos in this game?
 
Because I've been busy, as I've mentioned multiple times, and I didn't know who I thought could be a wolf and my feelings on genny were vague, so I couldn't give concrete info. Hell I'm supposed to be leaving right now, but instead I spent 40min catching up on the thread and posting, now instead of leaving, I just got home and I still need to shower, take care of my pets and pack an overnight bag.
 
So far, I see absolutely zero reason to shift my vote off Jilary.

I'd be happy with Genny. I'm not thrilled with a Trilt vote, but since a lot of other people are, I could go with it. And I think that if we have other investigative abilities (*cough*Tracker*cough*) and they didn't track PBC last night they probably should be fired.

Ok. So if I'm tracking this right, so far your defense is:

1) You voted for someone you think is a villager out of self-preservation, rather than pick someone you think might be wolfy; and
2) You've been busy; and
3) Something to do with something that happened last game that I don't understand/remember.

Is that about it?

#1 is weird. #2 is meaningless - everyone is/can be busy and it is an independent variable from whether one is townie/scum. #3 doesn't mean much with regard to someone's role this game.

I think it's pretty obvious I meant "Why are you only announcing it late in the lynch day?" If you really think I was asking "Why didn't you announce it before she died"...... that's just insulting.

Though Genny is still voting for trilt today, so I don't know if that means I should be more suspicious of Trilt or Genny should move up my list. Keeping my Jil vote for now though.

I don't like the escalation to the angry "I'm busy, I'm staying when I should be packing" etc stuff. That's more wolfy than villager for you. At least, in my recollection.

My role name is sketchy - this seems to be somewhat common in this game. My ability is not. I'm here until lynch close, so I am willing to answer questions about my thoughts and previous votes or anything else people feel is sketchy about me.

I'll reveal to Kam if we still have this annoying near three/four-way tie by eight and I can't assuage people without it.

I seriously give up. I have stuff to do and I can't keep trying to explain myself. I didn't KNOW PBC was a villager, but I do know I am. I've revealed to two people now, both of whom must not be on right now. Someone looked into me last night and that person should know I'm a villager.

This post is weird to me, I'm not sure why but LOTF has been kinda innocuous this game and it's giving me some pause. I'll keep that in my back pocket for now and it's nowhere near enough for me to throw a lynch vote on her for it, I just wanted to mention that's she's playing a bit differently from her very usual style and it makes my ears perk up a bit.

I agree that I don't feel great about her defense but I also think she was on limited time when writing it. I feel a little weird about her not expanding much on it today though. The write ups make it seem like she hasn't been attacked at all, which turns into a huge WIFOM argument that isn't usually super productive.

I do think it's a bit of a standard thing for people who have even remotely useful abilities who are nervous about being lynched to overstate their importance, so I'm not sure how much stock I want to put into that aspect of her defense pointing to her being wolfy.

A little bit unrelated, but I dislike that everyone decided that PBC was a great vote specifically because she wouldn't play for her own team. I think we should give her more credit than that and it's a flimsy lynch reason.

Sit on sharing that info for now! There may be other game mechanics at play where it would be a bad idea for you to share role info. In general you should hold onto it until end game.

I'm personally not feeling the Trilt train right now, I think wolves hate claiming sketchy roles and also tend to avoid leading lynches as hard as Trilt championed PBC's

Eh. She is a newer player. Styles change as you start to figure out how you like to play. She hasn't really set off alarms for me. She had a subtly passive aggressive comment earlier that is very consistent for her play style, so I bumped her slightly into villager group in my tally. I think she is trying harder to hot get lynched because she wants to play, not because she is hiding as a wolf. But it cold easily be the other way around.

it's not much, but gwen seemed to be the only person annoyed by ceke's post yesterday, and then ceke turned up dead. I do think that would be a pretty dumb wolf move, but it's the only thing I have some feels on right now. She also already has a few votes and still hasn't said much, in defense or otherwise. Again, it's not much, but I feel ok with it right now.

Agree with you 100%.

Like I said, that post is definitely not enough for me to throw a lynch vote at her at all. She's either learning because we all think she's suspicious so often or she's adjusting her play because she's not a villager. Trying to figure out which at this stage in the game based on like two posts is realistically not gonna happen. It's more likely that I've just noticed her actively changing her play style and me calling her out for not being suspicious is an accidental way of complimenting her.

Also, are you enjoying the catch 22 @LadyOtheFarm ? You're seeming sketchy to me because you're not seeming sketchy to me 😛
