I finally spoke to someone but she said she was unsure about when a decision would be made. No mention of April 30th. Idk hopefully soon. I was also told they are doing rolling admissions.

So pretty much they may have been accepting people on the low? Lol

No idea but that’s what someone at the grad office told me, then I was transferred to admissions and they said they were unsure of when we would hear back.

Hey guys, I called the admissions office today and they told me that the class sizes for the MHS program is 50 students. 30 Medical Students and 20 Dental. They haven't started processing any applications yet, but their still aiming for April 30th to get the decisions but its more likely to run into May.

(Inserts someone is trying to set me up meme) why are they given us different responses ?

It's a master's program so we definitely should qualify for the plus loan unless you have adverse credit history including 90 days past due on student loans and things of that nature. The cap is for Direct Federal loan. There's no cap on plus loan, it's up to the total cost.
Thank you! That makes more sense now!

Hey everyone! I hope we hear back soon. I called and they said either this month or next month we will hear back. My friend applied last year and didn't hear back until a week into the program. Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone can get an earlier response in order to have time for moving.
A week before though????? That's crazy

Hello,

Just found this forum last night.

So I applied to meharry this past cycle and didn’t bother to fill out the secondary because I knew my mcat was crap but they sent me a reminder to fill it out back in January and then again April 4th to have it filled out by April 10th. I have had friends who did the masters program and remembered I could do it and get in to the med school so I completed it and received an email on Sunday to apply to the masters program by April 19th for priority consideration or the latest by May 1.

What were your friends' experiences like? Similar to others on the thread?

Yeah I think they keep changing the priority deadline to get more applicants.
That’s crazy. Then it not a priority deadline if the keep extending it... it’s just a deadline.. they are making it seem like those who applied early get an faster review but it’s seems they just want as many people as possible to apply.. smh

Yeah they all have said it’s a true feeder program into the medical school but the mcat requirement has gone up because my one friend who did the program two years ago needed a 498 to get into the medical school.

I have also done another program like this at a DO school and the mcat course was apart of our $10k tuition so it’s kinda crazy that we would have to pay additional for the mcat course
