The admissions office closes at 5pm MST, and they are the ones to change your portal status. Then the email is automatically generated (mine came at like 2:18am), and call may not come until the next day, as the call comes from the vet school directly and not the admissions staff. My phone call woke me up in the morning at 7:05 PST since I was on vacation on the west coast and not where my application indicated I should be, lol! I'd like to think they were just excited to talk to me!
 
Nothing. It is just 4 o'clock anyways haha figure they have to enter everything in.
 
Relax guys! 🙂 I didn't get my portal updated until like 8pm when I got accepted (NYC time). Good luck and hang in there!!
 
My Applicant Checklist looks different than it did early this morning, it says I need some pre-requisite requirements, even though I have them completed as of this semester...
 
Yeah my prereq list has been updated and I'm not missing anything...But still no access to the check list. Oh well...I've been accepted to SGU. Not ideal but I'm at least going to be a vet.
 
Are you all checking your portal post interview? or are you looking to see if you got an interview?
 
Portal post interview. And its under the Pre-Accepted Applicant Check List. So our portals have been updated. :/
 
well its 8 and still nothing, so i'm guessing this means I was not accepted? anyone have any insight on this?
 
I thought they said by Monday we would know if we got accepted, on the alternate list, or not chosen at all...

I had the same thing, and ended up submitting a writing intensive sociology class as a substitute...just had to email them my syllabus!

Mine said that I graduated from some weird college that I've never heard of. They corrected it almost immediately...so... They make errors I guess sometimes in their data entry. Just ask them about it 🙂
 
Woohoo!!! Accepted! Good news after a terrible awful final exam! :soexcited:
Just need to call and fix my "science electives" they have posted that I have 0 out of 8 credits and with two science majors I have more than enough :laugh:

Be proud of your acceptance to SGU. It's fully accredited and in a tropical paradise. Nothing wrong with that!

Did anyone pay the deposit and decided to go here for sure yet? I got two other interview invites (Kansas and Mississippi) but I'm debating not to go to them... A) I really liked Midwestern and B) It's in a bigger city. Is anyone in the same situation?

I am in the same boat as you. I really liked it at MWU. I am from New York but I have family in Arizona which is one of the reasons why I am considering MWU as one of my top choices. I have four other interviews but I'm going to cancel 2 of them.

Ah, that's awesome! Congrats on getting so many interviews 🙂 That's good to hear, cause I kept hearing some people wanting to choose other schools (especially last year) because MWU is a new school. And I was wondering if I shouldn't turn the other interviews down because of that but I really liked the state-of-art hospital they have going on. And it looked to me like they really know what they're doing and forming an amazing vet med program. I think I'll wait for my IS and then pay the deposit! 🙂

I'm waiting for my top school but still checking other schools out.... it doesn't hurt.
 
Does anyone know if they are done with offering interviews? I haven't heard anything except one that how to create and set up web portal.

They seem to have some type of formula they use and offer 3-4 spots to each interview group through February. If I take a guess they probably offered between 40-50 spots by now.

If you haven't set up a portal, you need to do so. That is the system admissions uses to keep your file and send you emails.

Oh interesting. How do you figure they only accept 3-4 in each group?

Did you try to email them? I think that's strange.

I haven't heard anything except a link to access a portal that has no useful information as of yet. I called and they said my application is under review with the admissions committee, that was a month or so ago. I'm leaving it in there hands.
