MPH / MSPH 2021: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected, Attending

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Everyone else that's waiting for schools, I'm in the same boat! My SOPHAS was verified 1/20 after they sent it back for a missing transcript. I'm still waiting for FOUR (of seven) schools! 😢 I've seen so many health policy decisions for BU and GWU too...scary that decision time is just 1.5 months away, crazy right?!

When appealing for more merit scholarship do you contact admissions or office of financial aid?

Congratulations that's awesome!!! When did you apply/get accepted I had thought Emory was done awarding scholarships so do not know if I should have more hope lol
To my understanding, they were only done awarding merit scholarships. Need-based/institutional is still fair game!

University of South Florida MPH Epidemiology vs. University of Alabama Birmingham MPH Epidemiology. Has anyone researched or heard from any friends/colleagues on which program is better or any feedback on either? Thanks.

Anyone else get an email from BU about the Dean's scholarship application? I already declined my acceptance offer to BU because I didn't think I'd get more aid besides the 35%, but am now regretting it bc I didn't know I could potentially get 100% scholarship ahhhhh
Yes I just received this email as well, was not even really considering BU but now.... this changes things!

does anyone know if we could appeal for more aid at a school that hasn't given you any funding yet? i'm starting to lose hope for umich especially since i was accepted way back in January ): and out of state tuition is so much
I'm in this same boat but for UNC, out of state is soooo expensive

Did they send everyone that email? I was admitted like a month ago with 25% but didn't get a Dean's Scholarship app email today

Has anyone heard anything about graduate assistantships at Emory? Or the possibility of tuition remission with an on-campus job?
unfortunately it looks like the only designated place where they have those postings is Handshake and of course you need to be a current student to look at them :/ this to me doesn’t make sense at all since i too would like to see what my options are regarding assistantships (I know other schools are more open about what’s available) but i guess we wont know until the summer

Emory GLEPI app got redirected- honestly just getting more psyched about Tulane!
Sorry about that! Still keep up hope! When did you apply, and your application gets re-directed to the Global Epi Department? What is your second choice department?

It's truly okay!!! I got into my weird niche program I'm happy. I was routed for review 1/22 🙂 also I checked the portal! I still haven't gotten an email
my second choice is global envh, then envh epi. After some thought though, with my undergrad degree being in envh, I'm not sure I want to focus on envh for my MPH.
Tbh, at this point, I was really only interested in GLEPI, so I probably won't be attending Emory.

Glad you found the program you want to be in! Goodluck! Thanks for answering my questions, I am currently waiting for GLEPI
