MPH / MSPH 2021: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected, Attending

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi! Anyone else accepted into Columbia for Fall 2021?? I am trying to find a Facebook group or something to connect with others but can't find anything Just trying to say hi to potential new classmates!
There's a group me! I can dm it to you if you want 🙂

I suppose that's the end of HSPH notifications for the day. Just like Yale 2PM, HSPH is 10:40AM.

Dang it, time to reset my alarm clock for a wakeup call for 10:40AM Thu/Fri instead of 2PM Wed.
Isn’t Friday just for waitlist decision tho for HSPH?

Is anyone here accepted to the Emory Exec MPH and received merit or financial aid?

I have a feeling that my last 3 schools are all gonna reject me now bc Stanford broke the pattern. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I do not which one is worse; refreshing the HSPH portal for decision or refreshing SDN for responses and comments. There has been complete silence for the past 30 minutes 😆
Isn't the admissions office already closed for the day? 😳

Totally in the same boat as you are!

I just got accepted into my dream program at UNC! I'm still in shock seeing my offer of admission in the portal.

I applied with a 2.7 GPA and have been out of college for years. I truly applied just for fun and thought I wouldn't get one acceptance. So grateful for this forum - you guys all inspired me to shoot my shot and give graduate school a chance!

Super!!! Congratulations!!

What concentration were you accepted in to? Was it your first choice concentration at UNC?

For anyone accepted to Harvard, were you able to find the "Items to Review" on the my.Harvard Portal that is referenced in the letter? Apparently that's where we pay the deposit and see any contingency items (whatever that means!) but I don't see it. Thanks!

I literally JUST figured this out. Go to view your decision letter, then click the "continue" box below your letter. Then it prompts you to log out and then in again, and the portal changes!

Harvard Chan Admissions has an open office hours Friday, February 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET) if you wanted to get direct answers. Think I may give it a shot.
Are you going? If anyone is, can you ask about Harvard-65 HBS? I’d be extremely grateful!! I have to work during that time 🙁

Ah thank you so much!! The portal's not very intuitive lol

Has anyone from UW Epi/Global Health applied to the START position and heard back?
Epi MS here! I applied, but I haven't heard back. I feel like it won't be for another few days at least since the flyer says "Zoom interviews will be scheduled between March 2-10, 2021."

I honestly was set on Columbia until Berkeley came out with their offer.

Does anyone know if Berkeley's epidemiology department is all that well known? I honestly had applied just because it was in-state and close to home. Columbia seems more prestigious and with more offers but Berkeleys a lot cheaper and smaller. I have no clue who their feeders are at all too.

I was an undergrad at Berkeley and I minored in Global Public Health so took a few classes in the dept - the Public Health professors were hands-down some of the best professors I’ve ever had. Their research is referenced everywhere, and Berkeley itself is well-known for research. I hear that the grad student experience is much more personalized than undergrad, and I can also tell you that the PH building is brand new and really cool!
