Does anyone have any idea how much the OOS waitlist typically moves?
Yayyyy!!! So happy for you 💕OOS acceptance !!! for real this time lol
Congratulations!!! Are you planning to attend NCState?OOS acceptance !!! for real this time lol
I'm in the same boat.uhh, I didn’t receive an email or update to my portal. Could it be because I applied to the dual degree and still need to interview?

Thank you! So far, it’s the top of my list for OOS schools. If i get into my in state (Ohio), that’s my top choice!!Congratulations!!! Are you planning to attend NC State?

I'm in the same boat.
I'm OOS, so I'm not sure if I will interview for the dual program, but currently I have no interviews for NCSU.Are you going to the interview next month?
Thanks for the clarification on that!! I'd seen the email about us being on a different timeline, but I'm curious about whether we're still eligible to get into the regular DVM program in March (even if we aren't accepted to the dual degree after interviewing). No, just NCSU so far. Still waiting on a couple schools, so I should know by Jan-March. Also, apparently we won’t receive any decisions until March after the interviews bc we’re in a separate pool with the asynchronous DVM timeline
I’ve been worried about the same thing— like is it all or nothing? 😭 but I doubt it…Thanks for the clarification on that!! It would be hard for anyone to answer this unless you know where you are on the list/how big their list is, and if this is IS vs OOS. IS lists typically move very little regardless of the school, OOS lists can move quite a lot depending on the school. I think NCSU has relatively few OOS seats so one could expect less movement to happen before they fill those seats. Trends from year to year can be helpful, but imo these last few years have been a bit crazy so it's hard to know how much weight to put on them.Does anyone have any insight into how much the alternate list moved in previous cycles. I’m currently on the alternate list for NCSU CVM and am wondering what the chances of getting a seat are.
if you applied as an oos applicant you’re on the oos alternate list. NCSU’s alternate list moves less than others but still the oos moves more than is traditionallyThank you I appreciate it. The list consists of fifty one applicants and we don’t know where we sit on the list. I’m an OOS applicant but the email does not specify that it’s an OOS alternate list although I assume it is.
You’ll probably have to wait until next year XDI wonder when in state hints will starts 👀

Good luck! Even though it may not feel like it, being waitlisted at a school, especially one that accepts very few OOS applicants, is pretty exciting in my book.

Hi! I interviewed for the dual degree program last year, so feel free to reach out to me if you have any more questions, but basically the decisions are completely separate. They withhold their decisions for the DVM only program until after the dual degree interviews (since you won't be in the DVM class you applied to if you are accepted to the dual degree program). The interview for the dual degree program has no effect on the decision for the DVM only program outside of timing. Thanks for the clarification on that!! I'd seen the email about us being on a different timeline, but I'm curious about whether we're still eligible to get into the regular DVM program in March (even if we aren't accepted to the dual degree after interviewing).
