This school's application system is so freaking wonky.

I have been complete since early-mid July via phone call. I called last week to see if they had everything they needed and was told that they did even though my portal showed that they didn't upload my DO letter from AACOMAS. I sent it via Interfolio just to be thorough over the weekend, it was received and I got email verification of it. So I called again today to see if they had everything and a different person told me that they had everything except 2 of my 3 transcripts 😵.........so I asked did I need to send them to which she replied "No, if they decide that they're missing they'll contact you to send them...."

My question is: Is this some kind of sick social experiment or a hidden camera game show of some sort?

I was told the same thing. "We will call you if we need anything else..."

It's sad that the admissions office is so disorganized, because I've heard nothing but great things about the medical school itself.

Unbelievable. I called three times today and every time I was transferred to someone with a full voicemail so I could not even make myself heard, grrr!

For those who sent their transcripts, did you send them to any specific entity or just Nova Southeastern University? My previous schools do not have the college of medicine listed as a recipient......And who knows what I'll be told if I call Nova itself.

Go ahead and send your letters through Interfolio, if your letters were not part of AACOMAS at the time of submission. From what I understood with speaking on the phone with them today, they are struggling to update AACOMAS applications.

Furthermore, complete calls in July had nothing to do with LORs. Being complete at that time did not necessitate LORs. Hopefully this clears up a lot of confusion on here.

I faxed it. They updated my file in a day.

Did you get the signature page with your secondary app email? I haven't received a signature page... or do we find it online somewhere?

I got it after I had submitted and paid for the secondary in a separate email. The paper was an attachment in the email.

I just checked my app summary and it mentions the signature page being received mid-July. I don't recall ever receiving an email about this or sending in a signed document to NSU... so weird 😵

Same here, never received an email about signature page but the portal online shows Signature Page as received with the same date as AACOMAS service application

I talked to some other people who didn't get this form either. I have no clue, NSU's cycle seems funky with some people receiving completion calls, this form and the whole letters not being recognized through AACOMAS.

II via email earlier today. Dates available were 10/1, 10/8, and 10/15 (I think I am remembering correctly). I took 10/15. 516 MCAT, 3.4 ugrad, 3.8 grad, mad EC's. I think I got the complete phone call some time in July. I submitted my primary early June and submitted secondary same day I got it.

Nope, portal doesn't show any status. Only what documents they have (or are missing)

We don't have a summer break. We have approximately three weeks in the winter and a week in the spring time off.

You do get a long summer break. 7 weeks between early May and late June.
Summer semester is 5 weeks, and that runs you directly to the upcoming year's Fall semester.

Ah thanks for the clarification. I was looking at the official calendar and it said summer begins May 8th and ends July 31st. I guess it's counted into that. Sorry for the mistake guys.

Received the dreaded "One of your letters isn't signed" phone call today. Since we can't edit the letter once its been uploaded to AACOMAS, is Interfolio the best way to fix it? Is NOVA the only place who is going to care about the signed letter?

Any person who received an interview and could answer this -- I would be so grateful!

Before receiving your interview invite, what did your portal look like? did it have Letter writers, MCAT scores, transcripts, signature page, and/or AACOMAS Service application? Did anybody who got invited for an interview only have their letters, AACOMAS service app, and signature page listed in that table? They told me my file was complete and "did not know why" my MCAT score did not show up -- but I want to be absolutely sure they have everything they need because this school is my first choice!!

Anybody who could answer -- thank you SO much!!
