Ugh, I hate the autobiography essay! It is definitely my least favorite secondary essay... I'm not Benjamin Franklin, why do you need an autobiography? How about I write one at the end of my life? Just put IOU for that essay.

Why do the mission statements of the vast majority of the schools look nearly identical? It's so boring.
I honestly won't feel bad if I copy and paste essays to different schools because these secondary prompts and mission statements look like they're copy and pasted from each school.

I am on my 5th secondary now and that is where I am at. Copy/paste - adjust to word and character count, change to fit specific wording if prompt.
UCLA’s was fun because what are normally 250 word essays had to be compressed down to 300 - 500 characters....

Wow this thread was started before I got my first acceptance LOL. Remember everyone to pace yourself, the nerves of waiting for secondaries and the excitement of receiving them is great, albeit filling them all out ASAP sucks, but you may not hear anything after that for months and months so keep hope, update schools, and I’ll be praying for all of you!

You were scoring higher on practice tests than on your real one so you might actually do better if you retake (which is insane)... @MemeLord and I got lucky and went up from our practice scores. I highly doubt I would do better if I took again.

I highly recommend calling into state schools that you have connections with. I just called into a state school that I have connections with and learned that their msar was not up to date.
If you're in doubt about applying to a school simply because of not having residency but you do have other connections don't hesitate to call in or apply. Typically the few out of state students who get accepted at these state schools are ones who have ties to the state!

Yesh of course! For me it was a little more personal than that Haha. My birth state and the state I consider my second home. It is my number 1 or 2 choice after my state school.

Though the pool for people seeking an MD is large, the pool of people who do not qualify but want to try is infinitely larger. The masters and pre-health programs need an outlet for getting students too, because otherwise no one would ever hear about them.
It is annoying as all get out for those of us that don't want to see it, though. But they have their purpose (except a lot of the sketchy ones...).

Shoulda been a week and a half earlier, muh dude lol I got on like within 5 minutes of transmission on 6/28...But it has been a relatively nice pace since then at like 2-4 per day except weekends. Managable if you prewrote. If not, copypasta is your friend! lol
