So....does anyone think that perhaps Dom just wants us to kill off that group because he's....well...Hitler? And went around wanting to kill a bunch of shyte in the 1940s?

.

I know this is self serving at this point, but why do we assume that what the dead says is correct. I can see giving them the opportunity to say something, but it doesn't mean it is based on info.

Dom was like a junk yard dog that just wouldn't let go of his singular thought. I just assumed that he was continuing that in death. Sadly I can see that no one is likely to really believe this until Dyachei and I are killed off.

I am not 100% sold that the hints haven't been tampered with. I'm not familiar with the Dr. Who-verse but from what I've seen with Weeping Angels, the dead sometimes become an angel or something (series 5, episode 4 "Time of Angels" when Angel Bob keeps talking through the communicator). Seems pretty convenient for the wolves that we're killing off villagers too... Stinks of fish methinks :hungover:

I know that there's ability that manipulates the lynch/night result postings, so it doesn't seem that much of a stretch to assume that the dead's hints could also be messing with us?

I'm not 100% sold either, but it's literally the only lead we have right now. If we choose not to follow it, we're essentially back to RNG, which has yet to net a wolf that I've seen. And if you knew we were killing off villagers, might have said something 😉 I honestly don't think we'd be netting wolves looking away from the group either at this point, because no one has suggested any other information to go off of. Sorry, but I'd personally rather follow something more concrete than RNG.

I totally agree. RNG is probably the least effective method and had I been able to log-on yesterday during the madness, I would've changed my vote. I guess I just don't trust the dead's messages, but we might as well test it to see if they're reliable.

Welp I missed a crap ton of stuff. This whole focusing on one group thing is weird, but if it's all we got I guess we have to deal. Maybe we can get more info tonight.

Some people have reported that individual conversations are working for them while the group ones are not. I find it is a crapshoot and to just keep hitting post!

Late to the party, but I don't think I would have changed my vote anyways today, not that I have any significant reason to lynch swings, but I didn't see a compelling reason to lynch anyone else today either. Still on fence with the dead people speaking thing. Clearly there is a difference between what the mods seemingly let slide and what rojo slapped down. As to its validity I guess that is to be determined.

Omfg. What is wrong with people? I'm not even playing this game but I'm offended at how nasty people are being. It's a ****ing game. Get over yourselves. (and while we have a lot loungers, this is NOT the lounge, stop being jerks)

Thanks a ton you bunch of fecking imbeciles!!!!

Think with your goddamn brains. And something sure is amiss but
It's not me.

Complete BS!

I've had internet issues all day and could not get on to SDN to
Post as it was down when I did have internet so I thought I did the
Next best thing. Apparently not. You guise are not playing with your heads.

Let's kill an entire group. Sooner or later we will get a wolf. Who cares if
We kill off all the important roles too.

Prevet WW for the lose. And I can't believe the lynch was closed early and
I wasn't allowed to come on and defend myself. I thought I had bloody time

Sorry but I'm not sorry. Ha
**************************************************************

Woah! I just realized that you are, like, the very first ever villager that was wrongly lynched!

Is wolfspeaker OVERLY defensive or just normally defensive? I'm still thinking overly defensive.
She's kinda always like this. It's why we lynch her a lot

I'm always like this, because there's always at least one person who reads my posts wrong, or reads too much into it and accuses me of something, or gets defensive at ME. So, of course I'm going to try and clear something up, if there is obvious confusion about what I post. Plenty of other people do it to, but I'm the only one they care about.

And they were both relatively new players who may not know about how seriously no strategizing after death is taken.

So based on the fact that is has been called out that there is indeed no strategizing after death (unless these two people are somehow special which would seem like quite a co-inkydink), can we leave the whole let's kill everyone in said group thing?

They both had their posts in BOLD and both posted somewhat hinty things after it was warned on thread that dead players aren't allowed to strategize(by players, not mods). And the mods warned Devyn. And both posted about the same things. Weeping Angels. So, I'm more inclined to think there is a info-after-death mechanism somehow and they were both allowed to post a certain thing. It could be information that needs to be interpreted and Dom interpreted it wrong, I have no idea.

She's saying you're acting like your waffle would have been the most important waffle of all time. When in fact it would have been a run of the mill, hotel lobby breakfast waffle.

Just noticed this post. This is the most important wafel of all time:
itm_2012-07-23_10-17-43.jpg

that is all. Still waiting on a few important PMs, given the difficulties with the PM system we may have to delay, but hopefully not

Anyway. I'm with TRH. Unless/Until we have some better theory/plan/info to work with, we might as well find out if the beyond-the-grave info has any utility or not.

And whether we depopulate an entire section or not is, to my mind, irrelevant. In fact, we're probably better off doing it (unless we have something else to go on), because then we maintain the widest possible communication net (we're better off with one group of five than five groups of one). Unless there's some unique advantage each 'group' has (like in a few games where there has been a 'group' role ability), then I don't see it as a big deal to depopulate one group.

Devyn's snarky comment about killing off all the people with useful abilities is silly; there's no reason to think all the useful abilities would be concentrated in one group.

So I'm supposed to adamantly defend someone who has shared next to nothing about their role WHILE I'm at work?

*sigh* JDH, this is what I mean about people getting defensive at ME. And yet, I'm the big bad person.

No, Dyachei, when lynch was called I was in the process of asking you if Devyn had role revealed to you. You hadn't told us if she did or not. If you had come on and said, "Devyn PM'd me, she's in Paris and can't get on to defend herself. I know her role and I don't think it's wolfy", then I probably wouldn't have lynched Devyn. I would have been more inclined to go after you or WTF, actually. Or rethink the whole thing, like I was doing when lynch was called.

*shakes head* Please stop thinking I'm always pointing fingers at you. I'm simply trying to get relevant information for lynches, out there. Would it help if I had someone else do the asking for me? That way, you won't have to see my name next to the questions and get all bristled up?

BECAUSE YOU CALLED ME OUT.

you're not the victim here, so please stop acting like it. All she said was "I have a useful role" outside of the fact that she was having internet problems.

Huh. Weird. I wonder what the common denominator could be .....

That they can't read. 😛 The point is, no one cares if they get defensive at me, but I'm not allowed to clear up the confusion.

Someone investigate SOV tonight then. If he's clean, then it's bull****.

Oops. Double post

This is a bit of an odd thing to say. If you have to wonder if there is a group role ability, then it is obvious that there isn't one. If there was, the mods would have told the group.

Or were you speaking just generally?

I was just responding to the comment (I don't even remember who made it) about it being dumb to target a 'group'. I really don't understand *why* it's dumb. I mean ... let's assume random distribution of wolves. Then it makes no more sense to randomly lynch someone in one group or another or to stick in one group or to not or ... whatever. Random distribution is random. Furthermore, you could argue that it's to the villagers benefit to lose the groups one at a time while maintaining integrity of other groups, because that maintains the widest villager communication network.

But, there have been a few games where there was actually a 'group' night ability. In a game like that, everything I just said would not apply. But since that's obviously not the case here (at least, my group doesn't have any ability), then I don't see why it matters if we go after that entire group or not - *so long as we we're not ignoring evidence pointing us to someone else*.

Ah yes. I recall a game where nyanko and I could block as a group power. People didn't like that.
