Official Doctor Who WW Redux Game Thread

What kind of doctor will this new doctor be? And what adventures lie awaiting him and his band of companions. And more importantly, what evil lurks behind the shadows?



Welcome, welcome everyone.

Here are the basic ground rules:
1) Each day ends at 8pm EST. This is a firm deadline. No extensions. If it is tied after that point, well, we have our ways of dealing with this. Lynches may end early if there is a reason to do so. We may try to speed up things as the game dictates, but each deadline is firm. Each night ends at 8am EST. Again, Firm. Any missing PM's will be randomized if vital or will be unused if optional. We always will accept contingencies.
2) Unless otherwise instructed, you may freely PM within your time period. Please keep tabs on where you are in time, because time is relative and fluid. Most nights at least 1 if not more people will be traveling in time.
3) Please include both @Escalla and @thedrjojo on all mod PMs.
4) LIS rule is in effect and will be strictly enforced. Like I said, contingencies will always be accepted. If lynches end early, then the LIS rule is suspended during that round.
5) As always, no post editing!
6) While this is a Redux of Dr. Who WW game done last year, this is an entirely new game. The topic is the same, but pretty much that's it. So no need to refer to the previous game, as it will give you no hints or insight.

Today is Day 1... Which happens to be Christmas day! And a vote of no confidence just ousted your prime minister. Please elect a new Prime Minister. Voting ends when we have a plurality or 8pm EST. We welcome night time actions as well, since if we get them in quickly enough, we might be able to speed things up.

Oh, and did I mention, THIS IS A CLOSED BALLOT ELECTION. Please PM your vote to Escalla and I. No votes on the open forum will count. Please campaign all you'd like.

and he was apparently taught how to scrub in yesterday...and making dirty jokes with our ortho guy about the squishy noises....wompwomp

You must cast a lynch vote every day or otherwise send in a contingency. Each missed vote is a strike, 3 strikes gets you mod-killed. If day is closed early, then the rule is suspended for that day.

Uggh but the books are SO MUCH BETTER. SO. MUCH. BETTER. So glad I read them before I started watching. I feel like certain story arcs have been completely abandoned or otherwise ****** up by the writers.

I read about the first third of the first book before I watched. I wanted to read them all first, but I was like, "There's no way I'm gonna get through these before something gets spoiled." I'm still planning on reading them all, though.
