Was just reading a "Gower" post on another board. Gower mentions that ~15% of the class is made up of waitlisted students. That isn't as many as I initially thought it was. That must mean that a lot of people are already accepted. ~15% means that of a class size of 120 people, 18 will be waitlisted students. That isn't a whole lot of movement!
But back to the theoretical 324 students accepted, does that mean that already accepted ~300 students for a class size of 120? That seems a bit outrageous, doesn't everyone think?
I need your thoughts! Vinsanity, where art thou?
Btw, for your convenience, here's the original Gower post:
" Could you please tell me how many people are placed on Mount Sinai's waitlist and the likelihood of getting accepted from the waitlist?
There is a single, ranked wait-list which is reordered weekly. Wait-listed may submit additional information. Wait-listed/advisors may call about status, but there is usually lttle to tell. Greatest movement: June-August. About 15% of the class is accepted after June 15."
