Does anyone have any information on the waitlist??? Number of spots???? % who get off???? Any clue??? Someone said before...around 1/3 the class, which was 105 last year...so 35 accept spots, and maybe 50-70 total get in off the waitlist (15-35 decline) ? Do you think there are like 200 on the list??

I am thinking of making Sinai my top choice...........I am wailisted tier 2 at Penn(top choice)....should I give up all hope?

Just as an FYI to you all, I called in today to ask about waitlist movement. Elsie Rivera said that basically, we can hear very early (as in the next few weeks) or as late as the day before registration. I asked her historically when waitlist movement peaks and she said it varies but it'll definitely be moving soon...

Hi everyone. I would love to get into Sinai too, I was recently placed on the alternate list. I interviewed 4/26. Do you guys know how often people get in from the waitlist and what the chances are? I called the office today and they said that 150-200 are on the list. Yikes, twice as big and the class. Good luck everyone!

SO lets say 200 spots.....and a third of the class geets off the waitlist...assuming US news is accurate with the 1/3 people whom receive an acceptance matriculate. (however lets make it 2/3 because the waitlist means you are more interested in the school, and make you more likely to accept a spot.) so 120 in the class.(this year..assuming the increase in class size).....40 people off the waitlist (1/3 class size) and 40x 1.5=60...SO 60/200=30%

SO WE EACH HAVE A 30% chance of getting in.

NOT BAD!

Does anyone know if everyone on the waitlist gets the same letter (stating high priority, very favorable position)? It seems like all of us SDNers got the same letter, but that would be kinda dumb if all 200 waitlistees were told they were in a very favorable position, unless they think that the very fact that we made it to the waitlist is very favorable.

Hi Everyone,

Just got waitlisted at Mt. Sinai. I called the admissions office today and I was told that the waitlist consists of only 100 people! That's not bad!

Basically, 120 acceptances are sent out and as acceptees decline, others are pulled off the waitlist. We should expect movement especially by the middle of June and early July. But, waitlists aren't dropped until the day before day before classes(the 5th).

This may seem like a stupid question but do classes start in August or September for 1st year Sinai students?
