Does anyone have info on what the Saint Louis University program is like? The website says the program requirements are conducted at both SLU and the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still?

Anyone know if NYU is going to have multiple rounds or know how many interviews were sent out? I was excited about this program and I know they have large classes so I’m hoping that this is just the start…. Not sure how they got through applications so soon to decide who to interview even!

Did SLU have any secondary app? or was it just through PASS?

Does anyone know if for UF we have to send undergraduates official transcripts?

@princeafrica is Ohio done with the invites? Your insights are really helpful and appreciated!
No it’s not one and done. Interviews started going out this week yes but as the cycle goes more may be sent.

It still early. Once all these schools started sending interviews people tend to start shuffling and cancelling some interviews since they all tend to end up on the same dates/week

Stony brook invites went out today. 6/30&7/7 interview dates

Don't give the interview more than it's due. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that most candidates aren't privy to. Why/how else would programs send out invites within 2 weeks of the cycle opening?! Most applications aren't even complete by then!
One of the programs I interviewed at had 2 separate days of interviews and the candidates could pick which one they wanted to attend. After the first day was done, the program director didn't even bother showing up for the second day and called in sick! Obviously all the offers that were made were to candidates from the first day, and the crazy thing is they were made the morning of the second interview day!
I've seen total duds get in and incredible interviewees sit it out for another cycle. But sure, I get it - every opportunity matters and you might as well give it your all.
I still think it's unnecessary.
This is messed up on so many levels if it's actually true.

It’s in waves usually like 4

I am planning to apply next year for endo residency. I saw many programs require 3 letter of recommendations one from endodontist, one from employer/supervisor, one from dental school faculty member.
I graduated about 3 years and I did not keep up with them after the graduation. How did you ask for the letter? Is it have to be from endo faculty?

I applied last year after practicing for 5 years, so I understand where you’re coming from. I wasn’t sure how to go about asking faculty that I had lost touch with. I reached out directly to the Endo department chair where I went to school to 1-find out if I would be a competitive applicant 2- ask what I needed to do to bolster my app and 3- ask that very question, how do I approach and ask faculty to write a letter since it’s been 5 years. He immediately offered to write a letter and said that the other faculty that needed to write letters would be happy to help. I could be wrong but I think when faculty are in the positions they’re in, they are used to and expect to write letters, especially in Endo where it is not uncommon to practice GD for a few years prior to applying. I feel I had good relationships with the faculty in school but definitely had not kept in touch after graduation. Just my 2 cents.

Does Stony Brook only do one wave, or are there still chances? Cause I checked last year's post, and there is only one wave.

Needing advice: I am a new grad and planning to work this year while applying to endo. What do you tell your employer/manager when you get interviews? Thanks!

No just one email. It’s two dates bc one date reserved for stony graduates

Any current residents here that would be willing to give you experiences on the school you attend. I am applying next year and creating my list of schools and would love to hear from you, thank you.

Does anyone know about VCU secondary payments? Are we waiting for an email to prompt the payment or is there a link I’m missing?

Can someone clarify for me… Is our application not complete/schools won’t review it until all LOR are in??? I submitted my application May 18th, still waiting on my 3rd LOR from one professor (emailed multiple times, and updated the deadline for her). I am starting to get very frustrated and hoping it doesn’t matter.

Unfortunately, if the third LOR is not submitted, its considered incomplete. I would recommend to delete the recommender and find a new one who can do it ASAP. A lot of schools will be sending out the invites this week and next week

Just out of curiosity, for schools that hold only one interview date, how long does it typically take for them to send out acceptances afterward?

I got an email from Langone today that they are currently in the process of reviewing the application and will be informed of the outcome of the interview selection once the decision has been made. Anyone else receive this email? I got so excited at work lol. I'm 5 years out of school and endo. would be a dream come true, Langone is also my top choice! *wails in angst*

i got the same email. i imagine it might be to all completed applications but i wonder if someone else can dispute that

Man, this application process feels lonely. Let's start a conversation here. I've been working for 4-5 years out. What about you guys? What are you looking for, how long have you been working? When did you know endo. is the way to go for you?

I’m 6 years out, but working 5 years because a GPR. I want a clinical heavy residency. I kinda knew endo when I watched my referring endodontist and the lifestyle and number of patients he saw just looked like my style and tbh a lot easier

Hello! I graduated in 2020, did one year of GPR and been working for a DSO since then. I appreciate all the information that's shared on this forum!

Hello! Graduated 22' and did a GPR and now have been working for the big "A" in DSOs. First time applying to Endo!

I am a 2021 certified-COVID graduate, and this is my first time applying to endo. I'm looking for a well-rounded and fun program. I always liked endo since pre-doc -- the residents and faculty were supportive -- but it is only after practicing as a GP for a few years that I discovered I'd prefer to be an endodontist. I think I can grow (career-wise) a lot better if I can focus on doing a subset of procedures I like.

5 years out and second time applying this year! fingers crossed. Anyone hear anything this week? was really hoping to hear something this week.
