Yes. But I’m willing to guess you pressed that button more than once before the deadline so it will be saved & you’re in the match computer now.
 
Another neurotic question, at what point can we start writing LOI for Texas schools? Is it just after match day if you don't match to your top choice or is there any benefit to writing them earlier?

Are you an in-state Texas applicant? Do you understand how the Texas match works? Check out the info and videos on the TMDSAS website.
Match rank lists have already been turned in, so anything you write to them between now and Match Day is pointless.
1. See where you match and celebrate
2. If you must want what you haven’t got after that, accept spots on any wait lists you are offered and, well, wait.
3. Most Texas WL action wraps up by June.
 
For those of us who did not match, when do the schools we interviewed at typically begin to notify us of waitlist or rejection?

I think it depends on school but the one I interviewed at said they would email us in about a month to see if we got WL or rejection. Then they said WL movement prob wont start until like April

Most start sending out WL notifications in 10-14 days. They will be via e-mail, not your TMDSAS portal.

TCOM sent it out this AM right after I posted that comment.

Just to review, here are the rules and regulations for match and being on WLs after match:

General Guidelines for Conduct of the Match

The Match is unique to the participating schools in the State of Texas.  No other group of medical schools in the U.S. has a comparable process for selecting their entering class that also includes a method for limiting the number of positions an applicant may hold at one time.

Some of you didn't match this time, and as you know fewer than 40% of Texas applicants get in on any given cycle.

If you are interested in a Re-applicant Workshop, Paul Foster School of Medicine has one planned for Friday Feb 21.
You can attend in person or via live-stream link. Open to any re-applicants, not just ones who applied to this med school.

The Foster School of Medicine at TTUHSC El Paso will be offering a reapplicant workshop on Friday February 21, 2020 for prospective TMDSAS reapplicants for the EY21 application cycle. Join us for tips on how to improve and refine your application package directly from Admissions staff, Committee members and current PLFSOM medical students. Pre-workshop materials will be provided and registration includes one-on-one evaluations with our experienced Admissions team. Can’t make it to El Paso?! We will offer the workshop as a live-streaming option as well.

Direct answer from TMDSAS about this:
TMDSAS will send an email to all active TMDSAS applicants within a few days with details on what to do.

In the meantime, enjoy exploring the website, read all the FAQs, and check over the pre-reqs to be sure you have them all covered.
U of Houston will screen your primary apps and send out secondaries selectively.

Yes! TMDSAS responded on fb that they’ll reach out to begin sending apps this Friday.
 
Okay. So, I messed up big time.

I'm an out-of-stater who used TMDSAS to apply for a couple schools I was interested in. I interviewed at Long and, after a few months of waiting, just got accepted today via email. But then I went to look at my TMDSAS application and make sure everything is order, only to find out that...I completely forgot to send my transcripts. They were due way back in October. It must have just slipped my mind in chaos of applying with three separate services at once (I did AMCAS and AACOMAS too). I just never thought about it again because Long invited me to interview before the transcripts needed to be processed, and I never received another notification about it.

How screwed am I? This is clearly my fault, and obviously I need to call Long and ask them about it, but I'm terrified to have that conversation because I'm afraid they'll rescind my acceptance on the spot... 🙁
 
I can’t speak for the school so you’ll have to have that tough convo but I think odds are you will be okay. If they accepted you without them, I doubt you owning up to your mistake and sending them ASAP would make them rescind and offer. Breathe easy 🙂

Message TMDSAS on your portal first & check. If they don’t have your transcripts, send them now.
You will still have to send final transcripts to Long directly after your final semester. Arrange that too.

I had not received for my electronic transcripts but I remembered I had sent them in! When I messaged tmdsas they stated since I had sent them in July, they were not able to access them when they were verifying (I believe in October). They just asked me to resend them! So hopefully it’s not to big of an issue 🙂
