Hi Beatriz! Charisse and I are going to the Vinyard this Sunday if you want to check that out with us. It's nondenominational. I haven't been but she has and really liked it.

For any of you out there wanting to go to a great enter-denominational church in San Antonio, check out Community Bible Church. It is at 1604 and Gold Canyon (heading east on 1604 take the Gold Canyon exit and turn left at Gold Canyon, keep going straight down to the parking lot; take the Redland Road exit if you are heading west) It is a great church with awesome praise and worship and good down to earth teaching. You can look at their web site at www.communitybible.com to find out service times. They have two Sat. night services and two Sun. morning services.

I am from San Antonio and in the process of applying to med school. I go to A & M right now, and I hope to be accepted to UTHSCSA in 2005.

I felt totally stupid on Friday because I could not find the optic disk for the life of me. I tried following the veins... I tried a 15 degree angle... we even turned out the lights but no luck. Was anyone else feeling the same thing or am I just the outcast who will never be able to perform an eye exam. Anyway, I need to find a willing subject who will allow me to stare into their eye for a very long period of time... I wonder who would do it???

Actually, having my eye dialated and people shining scopes at full brightness for 2 hours made me thoroughly blind in my right eye, but I don't mind doing it a bit longer...All in the name of education.

Well, Naples is origionally from New Haven, so its classic east coast pizza. and it is SOOOOOOOOOOO good.


Its on Huebner and NW military. basically take I-10 W and exit huebner. Go right about 2 miles and its in a shopping center with an HEB.

I recommend the pizza with bacon on it. It is SOOOOOOOOOOO damn good. the pasta is just okay..but the pizza.... diving. I intend to eat there when I am there in San Antonio in about 2 mos.

Indeed. So far the evals of UTHSCSA for interviews are goign very well.


I must say I get a little fuzzy seeing that my inception is still going...............I am glad to see the sunday evening get together is still going!

Are interviewees still being paired up for staying overnight?

awww, i miss this thread! i feel nostalgic thinking about PEST... and how much i freaked out about studying for the written exam. seems so long ago... sniff.

ahahha... seriously. rachel, i cant ever think of your name when i see you... keekee always pops into my head. i swear im going to actually call you that one of these days.

Pretty darn funny! The slideshow was a tad long...but oh well. A lot of the professor impersonations were freakin' hilarious! The one with Dr. King getting laid off and becoming a used washinging machine salesman almost made me fall out of my chair. "This...[circling the washing machine emphatically with his laser pointer]...is a wash-ing ma-chine. It goes by many names: GE, Maytag, clothes washer. But in this class, I will use the term wash-ing ma-chine."

Good luck with exams, everyone! All I can say is, I can't wait until Friday, September 10, at 1pm arrives...i.e. no more exams.
