Anymore interviews being given out? It's been all silent since I was complete in October.
 
I got an email with a username and password to log in to view my app status and if any docs were missing. Do you all know how long PCOM takes to get back with an answer or if they do silent rejections?

I'll help my fellow texan...I think it varies somewhat, but to give you an idea, I applied early and received that email you are talking about on 9/15 and was offered an interview around 10/24. Now it is later in the app cycle so it might take them longer to go through the apps. Good luck!

Well thanks for the info.. 🙂 Good looking out on us Texans!.. I'm staying positive on PCOM 🙂
 
For PCOM GA the deposit to hold your place in class is 250$ right? then you have an additional 1500$ deposit later. When is the additional deposit due?

I assume its right around then that they start calling a bunch of folks on the waiting list, for folks who had turn down the acceptance?

Best bet is giving them a call, or an email. I heard there are only 9 interview dates, two per month. I was in the third date on Nov 4.
 
Anybody who interviewed here last Monday get a letter? Tristan said they should go out Thursday but I haven't received anything yet?
 
OOS, just accepted an ii for this school this morning but I am going to call back & cancel. About 15 minutes after accepting a 01/06 ii, I got accepted into CUSOM! So happy right now, hope one of you gets my interview spot. Good luck everyone!!

Congrats and thanks for keeping us updated! Was CUSOM your #1 choice and will you be cancelling all other interviews? Also, what are your stats if you don't mind sharing?!
Its great to hear they are still sending out invites for soon after the holidays.

Thanks & no problem! Yes, I will be cancelling all other interviews. Ironically enough I got invited to LMU via phone 7 minutes after the PCOM GA email arrived, I will politely decline this interview. I loved CUSOM, was already partial to the area having a lot of friends in Realeigh, but was really crazy about the facilities & staff. Stats are 29 MCAT 3.4 overall 3.9 Science

Thanks! I have a note that I sent everything in on 10/18, iirc this was one we had to mail out a check so it went snail mail on 10/18, probably arrived 1-2 days later, hope this helps
 
Any current students: what is the way about picking clinical rotation sites? I believe they called it a lottery but does that mean purely random or is there a choice? Also if it is random is there a trade day where students can trade sites with other students? Thanks! Recently accepted to pcom.

Apparently it's a ranked lotto. When they draw your name, you get your top choice of three if it has spots left. If not, you get your second choice site, etc.

This is mostly conjecture from what I've heard from other students. The admins weren't super informative about clinical rotations.

Don't get me wrong, it seems like a great school, but they need to do something about being more informative.

Did you just get accepted today? Interviewed on 12/9/13? If so where r u located?
 
Got the acceptance letter yesterday and interviewed on 12/9/2013.
 
Received my ii invite on 12/4.....was offered an interview for 12/9 but I had a final exam the next day so the next available slot was 1/6
Anyone else interviewing on 1/6
Really excited to visit this school and see what it has to offer
Any interview tips would be greatly appreciated

For people who have already interviewed, what was the experience like? Was the interview open file? How many interviewers were there and what type of questions did they ask?

So like someone said it is a ranked lotto but you can then trade with anyone in your class.

3rd year is pretty straight forward while the end of 3rd and 4th are really your audition time.

Everyone will tell you that normally you want to wait until the end of 3rd year or 4th until rotating at a place you might want to apply too. The main reason is early on your going to screw up more often than if you had a few rotations under your belt

Last years class had the "highest stats" yet but please understand that it really means 0!

Scores for our current class range from 21-33 (that I am aware of)

I'm applying a little late, but I just had my AACOMAS verified about 3 days ago and haven't received a secondary yet. How long does it usually take for AACOMAS to send out your app after its been verified to all the schools? I know the holiday season isn't going to help me any with getting my app sent out any quicker.

I can only help by showing you my timeline-
AACOMAS submitted 11/12 (I missed the Tue morning weekly deadline)
AACOMAS shows primary released 11/21
GA-PCOM confirmed receipt of primary 11/22- this email invited a supplemental application, which I sent the next day
GA-PCOM confirmed receipt of secondary 12/12.

Still waiting on II, but I think they're "closed for the holidays"... Good luck

PCOM "acknowledgement of receipt" on 7/30 (this included the secondary app as well)
PCOM "supplemental app received" email 9/10
interview invite on 10/20 for 11/04 interview date

Most school are. I was complete mid November and have 2 jan interview 2 feb interviews as far as DO goes. People who are just sending in secondaries will probably be March, April, or maybe even May if they get an interview.

Wow, so seems it takes quite awhile to have them "verify" everything on their end after receiving the secondary. Not really liking my chances applying so late and near the holidays. Oh well, guess I have nothing to lose. Thanks for the info and good luck to y'all

I also missed the December date and had to pick the 1/6 one... but i'll be there!
Already put in my deposit at ACOM, so I kinda hope I either realllyyy love it or hate it.
 
For any current pcom-ga students, how much time do ya'll get for board prep???

I am so amazed! I just got an II at this school. I felt so bad that they were working on Christmas Eve that I wrote to thank them. Congrats to all those already accepted and Good luck to all those still waiting! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
 
I know someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, but how many interview days did they have total? I know it's like two per month. Isn't it just 8-10?

There's 9 total (that's what they told me when i interviewed back in october). I'm assuming the school is about halfway done with the interviews at this point.
