does anyone know when the committee meets to review apps for interviews & accept/reject post interview?
Oh yeah I remember them saying that hahaThey told us during the interview to make sure not to throw it out without looking at it. There were cases where the person automatically assumed it was a rejection and ripped it up without reading it - come to find out it was an acceptance. Acceptances and rejections are the same size.
It's either every Tuesday, or every other Tuesday.does anyone know when the committee meets to review apps for interviews & accept/reject post interview?
I'm a student at PCOM.How do you know?
I'm a student at PCOM.
City ave is generally a good area, as is Center City. General rule of thumb is dont be stupid and walk alone with your wallet hanging out at 1am. Be smart and youll enjoy Philadelphia. West philly is the only bad area (surrounding Temple). This might be silly question, but I understand that PCOM does not offer on campus housing, so is there a worry about the crime rate in Philly?

You will be fine. A lot of students live in Manayunk. It's about ten minutes from campus. This might be silly question, but I understand that PCOM does not offer on campus housing, so is there a worry about the crime rate in Philly?
how many did you send them? are they super strict about letters?Has anyone received an incomplete secondary email? I checked banweb, but they've received everything from my end. There is not, however, a date under the status column 🙁
Edit: I just spoke to someone from admissions. Apparently, I need another faculty letter of rec. Uh Oh.
They are pretty strict about application materials, and you have to be on top of everything (be your own advocate). Unlike a lot of other osteopathic med schools, PCOM doesn't tend to have a good email notification system for their applicants when aps are complete/incomplete.how many did you send them? are they super strict about letters?
I sent in two from my undergrad and one from an MD that I shadowed who happens to be faculty at a med school. I thought the last letter would count as a faculty LoR, but no.how many did you send them? are they super strict about letters?

Generally living in CC isn't cheap, and for the most part grad/med students are flat broke. I'd be willing to bet not all that many. Most of the people I speak with live just outside Philadelphia or somewhere along City Ave.How many students live in Center City?
Oh, I'm just assuming a date goes under the status column. Perhaps nothing at all. I'm not sure :/Hi what do you mean by a date under the status column...the boxes underneath my status column are all blank..but there are dates under the column that said "received" ..does that mean I'm complete?

I believe you're complete if you receive an email saying so. Best bet is to call them of course.
hmm..does PCOM give out complete email??..I only received the email that said they received my secondary app
When did you interview and when did you get your acceptance letter post interview?Got my "Welcome Packet" in the mail today.
Took about 2.5 weeks between interview time. However they tell up it can take up to 4 weeks. When did you interview and when did you get your acceptance letter post interview?
I was told by late November, or early December.Did they mention when they would send acceptance/rejection letters?
Admissions met yesterday so decisions will most likely be sent out by end of weekAnyone hear anything that interviewed October 31?
Could anyone chime in here.... My all parts of my secondary were complete Nov. 1st. I know its late but what are the chances PCOM will send out another round of interviews this year or does anyone know if they are done until Jan?
Thanks for the response. I understand they interview into March I just wanted to know if anyone knows whether there is any chance of getting an interview by the end of Dec. or if I should not expect any possible response until after the holidaysThey int into March. So it's not over yet.

How receptive is this school to responding to phone calls about application status? All my materials have been received since August 20th and I haven't heard a peep. Is this a pre-interview hold? Should I give them a call and do you think a letter of intent would help?
Call them to confirm they have everything. This school is notorious for "misplacing" things. How receptive is this school to responding to phone calls about application status? Mostly sitting around in the library and stacking books.I see PCOM and PCOM-Ga offer work study. But what kinda work study can a med student do during m1 and m2? The only thing I can think of is sitting at a desk type job where you are rarely disturbed.
