My bf is Irish, and in the winter, we are both really pale/translucent. In the summer, he turns bright cherry red (I am Turkish so I tan to dark brown and never burn - thankfully). He wears a shirt at the beach. He says its a rash guard for boogie boarding but I know its really because I got mad at him for shedding in bed the last time he got sunburned. He's got red hair, blue eyes, and is covered in freckles for head to toe. I told him he was a walking melanoma. :laugh:

Sounds familar :laugh:

I don't burn that badly... I worked a summer as a lifeguard and only burned once or twice and ended up with a nice tan (ie those veins were barely visible :laugh: )

Ok. All these other threads getting merged in here keeps throwing me off. I know its the Random thread, but wow. Its making it a wee bit more difficult to follow. Almost like its the Pre-Allo general junk thread bin. 😕

Me too though every now and then I have a hankering for a blonde.

That's why I love Sarah Michelle Gellar. Natural brunette but can blonde it with the rest of them.

Maybe he can create a "Pre-Allo Almost Garbage but not Quite Deletable Posts and Threads", Thread instead. So we can maintain the integrity of our little domain. :idea: Besides, that last one is probably better in the General or FAQ/Support areas anyway. Oh well. I'm just a fish, albeit one with sexy green legs. 😉

I'm not discriminatory. I have a crush on every boy. I personally go for that touch of crazy in the eyes. Keeps things interesting. At least you know you'll always be along for a fun ride. 😀

On a more related topic, the most attractive quailty a guy can have hands down is dorkiness.
 
Ok...who here is a house or grey's anatomy nut?

Grey's is by far the best show on TV. There isn't a single actor on that show I dont like. House used to be my favorite...but someone needs to turn the page in the script and come up with a new plot for one episode...still, its very interesting...

The girlie and I like to play a game with House...we pause it as the symptoms are revealed. Go research them, and then try and predict the condition the patient is presenting. It's a lot of fun and helps the never ending plot line...so in a way its almost become a game show👍 We've learned an immense amount though while having a lot of fun..

Anyone else try making a game out of House?:meanie:

Grey's started off really well but I think the plot has really slowed down. I've had a hard time staying interested in it. I liked it when it was about being new to medicine and getting to try new things instead of being all about relationships and how everyone can cheat on everyone.
 
My wife and I watch Grey's together...have since it started, but I've lost interest in the last couple seasons...it's gotten to soap opera on me....much like ER..

And, I wish it was still on Sunday nights.


I'm ready for LOST to come back.
 
As you can see by my avatar. lol ....yea, kinda like the new kids on the block when I was in middle school.

Uhhhhhh...have you seen izzy? She is smokin hot...grey is hot for an older woman, but did you know she's 37 or 38?!? She has the body of a 18 year old😀

Izzy may be nice to look at, but I can't stand her character. Just plain annoying. Why can't they drop a helicopter on her or something?

Hmmm. House has Jennifer Morrison. Grey's has Izzie. So they're both very palatable to guys. Nothing to hide.

There are hot soap opera actresses too--that doesn't mean that guys should be watching soaps.

I'd just hate to have her as my doctor. She comes off as such a flighty air-head. However, i'm sure she would be great at "playing" doctor. 😉 Or perhaps she would make a good Candy Stripper?

The good news: They are cutting the interest rates in half for student loans For medical school students, that's going to be thousands of dollars (I would imagine) saved once we get out of school. :up:

The bad news: This could back fire, as banks could choose to loan less to the student market since they can make more money elsewhere. Meaning the competition for loans could cause some students to miss out. :down:

This is only for subsidized federal loans, right?

Is there a limit to how much you can get on a subsidized federal loan? I know for my undergrad and grad studies there's a limit to something like $5,500/yr

I agree. Grey's isn't for girls, its for people who like crappy television. Next time you're sitting down to watch Grey's, flip it over to NBC and watch a doctor show that's a hundred times better.

ER has lost it's magic, ever since Goose left.

I don't know many guys who watch Grey's (with the exception of those who watch with their significant others). It's a soap opera, not a medical show.

I know most of you guys dont go there to chat anyway and come here to chat, so I figured id keep all this in house and then people wouldnt get so pissed off when it gets closed down by the mods. 🙂

Why is everyone all about Grey's Anatomy and House and ER..you're forgetting about the best doctor show of them all.. Scrubs!! Now with reruns on Comedy Central before the Daily Show. 😀 Come on - surfing on gurneys through the hallway, the dingus residency director with the heart of gold, Elliott babbling like an idiot everytime she walks into a patients room. I wish it were that much fun. It makes me laugh and I can watch it with non-pre-meds. Besides, 1/2 hour of watching one show is pushing my attention span as it is. I suffer from chronic channel-surfer-itis. :laugh:

Whoa, that's totally what I was talking about a few posts back, not ER. Scrubs is on against Grey's. And its the easiest choice in the world.
