Ok, I was under the mistaken assumption that the hard part of this process was interviewing. Ranking is so tough.

I am definitely looking to do research during residency and later to do a subspecialty fellowship (likely Cards). I have narrowed my list to the following:

University of Colorado
University of Virginia
University of Rochester
University of Alabama
Ohio State University

Any suggestions?

I would say
UAB-top 10 cards division and incredible research opportunities (NIH funding for medicine consistently in top 10), combined with diverse training at a univ hosp, VA, and county hosp all within 4 blocks makes this a great choice.
UVA-similar research opportunities but less diversity of clinical training
Colorado
OSU
Rochester

UVA
UAB
Colorado/Rochester
OSU

This is based on what I have heard from people who have interviewed at the above.
