The orchids have been inconsistent, I’m not sure if they’re actually an ability or if they’re just associated with one of the remaining characters.

It's a character that's actually visiting other players, so presumable they are doing something (the orchid may not be the power itself, it could be a hint like the batscan beeps)

Night 8

The early days of the convention had been fairly relaxing for alleycat, who had spent her time hanging out with the other preteen toons and snacking on the hotel-provided snacks. She wasn't worried about much, with Cosmo and Wanda around to protect her. But as the cartoon numbers started to dwindle, she felt the spotlight falling more and more upon her. She couldn't sleep, so she stayed up playing video games until her eyes stung, and still she kept at it. There was one thing Cosmo and Wanda could not protect her against.

In the early hours of the morning, someone broke down her door. Her reflexes were slow from exhaustion, and fear turned icy in her veins. She twitched on the couch, moving only an inch or two. The intruder grabbed the controller from her hand and beat her to death with it.

Dead is @alleycat03, who was Timmy Turner, a villager who would reflect all actions performed on them back on the player performing the action, except for kills

Bugs sat at the hotel bar, chatting with the bartender, who was watching the clock in earnest, waiting for his shift to be over so he could get out of this crazy place. Bugs was doing most of the talking, getting only nods and grunts in response. He didn't notice.

"What I'm trying to get across to ya, and what I'm hoping you'll help spread the word on, is that The_Breadmann is a no good villain who can't be trusted." The bartender nodded, barely registering the words, his mind miles away...

I agree with the 2nd (possibly 3rd) point, samac mentioned that someone kept alternating putting her and kras in a room, more likely as a protective measure. Unless someone else has a redirect or reflect ability as well, I think someone wanted to keep you alive.

I have some catching up to do, but I thought of something while I was away. I thought nothing of it at the time, but on night 1, I was randomly surrounded by anvils and unable to go anywhere. I don't know if that also means other people wouldn't have been able to find me or I wouldn't have been able to do a night action if I had a night action to use, but I'm inclined to think all three. I'm suspecting it was the result of the same person who blocked M935 last night.

Why they would have wasted their blocking action on me beats me. Likely someone who just took a shot in the dark testing their ability on the first night?

To summarize, if it helps at all, three characters soft confirmed each other. We all (I think?) are inclined to believe them because if it was a wolfy ploy, they probably wouldn't put themselves out in the open as a target, especially so early on. I am especially inclined to believe kraskadva because she was surrounded by anvils just like I was (and I'm another villager) and I don't think someone would want to tell the whole thread that they've been targeted if they were a wolf because it would throw suspicion on why someone would want them to be held powerless for a night.

I do agree I fee like something is missing. While you may be hiding something good just like Enigma was, you could also be wolfy.

I'm confused about the intent of the person with the anvils. They could have been trying to protect Vetsplz last night, but did so in a way where they couldn't use their ability to scan for a wolf. They have anviled mayo before, which suggests it's a non wolf power, unless they did it to cover up. Or it's a wolf power that the wolves are claiming happened to them when they know it wasn't used.

Folks who've been anviled, was anyone able to use their powers on you while you were blocked? I know someone left an orchid for bread, I'm curious if the anvils are protective at all or only block you from using your own power

I wouldn't think the orchid is a protecting ability; otherwise I would think that whoever had the orchid would have protected M395 on the night he died

This is why I wonder if the orchid is just associated with a particular cartoon character and doesn't actually contribute anything to the game. There have been so few orchid instances that I'm having a difficult time drawing a pattern. I haven't turned anything up when I've been searching for cartoon characters who have orchids as part of their main story, though.

I think it's likely that the orchid related to someone's action, but they haven't used it much and/or it was used on deceased players who didn't share that info before their death

This is why I wonder if the orchid is just associated with a particular cartoon character and doesn't actually contribute anything to the game. There have been so few orchid instances that I'm having a difficult time drawing a pattern. I haven't turned anything up when I've been searching for cartoon characters who have orchids as part of their main story, though.

I just think that whoever is placing these orchids, they must be a character with a separate ability that relates to orchids. When M395 died, it was specifically mentioned that his 3rd visitor was someone who placed an orchid on their body; therefore, there has to be a person with some sort of visiting ability. What exactly is that ability, we don't know, but I'm certain there is a character out there responsible for this.

I went back and looked at the roster, and I'm wondering if this was a desperate attempt to protect vets last night since we don't have a village blocker anymore (that I know of, anyway). Biomajor was the blocker, and as far as I know, Random also has a block ability but it's that vapor that was mentioned before, not the anvils ...

Vets seemed pretty sure that they were going to get killed last night and they weren't - although they didn't get to scan, I kind of think it was a protective measure.

I don't know if I sus April, but I'm starting to feel a little skeptical about whether she's really vanilla or not. She goes along with the majority a lot (although she vouched for me when y'all wanted my head off, so I do appreciate that lol), and sometimes doesn't seem to have her story straight. To be fair, she's a noob too, and I only have notes on things because my manator suggested that at the beginning of the game, otherwise I'd probably forget some details here and there too.

This is fair, it could have been done with that intent. I guess I just don't understand why wolves would protect the masons repeatedly - it would only work as cover (I saved the masons! I'm a villager!) if someone owned up to it and claimed the ability. Otherwise the wolves could just avoid killing the masons if that was something they cared about

We do know that the room shoving seems to protect from all abilities as well as block night actions (I think it was M395 who was in a room while Nas was looking for jelly and couldn't find him). So I guess maybe wolves could have been concerned about mason abilities?

She goes along with the majority a lot (although she vouched for me when y'all wanted my head off, so I do appreciate that lol), and sometimes doesn't seem to have her story straight. To be fair, she's a noob too, and I only have notes on things because my manator suggested that at the beginning of the game, otherwise I'd probably forget some details here and there too.

I never have my story straight because I scroll through new posts and make my own posts while I'm at work on the phone with clients. Then when I get my lunch break, I realize I screwed it up and correct myself or confirm when someone else corrects me, lol

Also, about voting with the majority. I did actually go back to check this before posting so i should be right - I yeet voted with the majority three times. First time was Sun when we were all clueless. Second time was Bio and at the time I voted it was not the majority (I believe), then when a whole bunch of people started piling on I got really nervous (as indicated in my posts) but didn't want to waffle so I left it there, then posted my regret as the tally was being counted. Third time was a wolf.
