I have found that wolves enjoy boxes less than cats do

Sit back and relax people. I have solved it all! I have a theory about who it is. Actually, it is so solid that I shouldn't even call it a theory. The murderers (it was put in plural form) are the journalist, the boss and the liaison. Phone number is PM ability that was alluded to and belongs to the liaison. Boss is OP wolf/alpha wolf. Journalist will be able to pen the write up and lead us astray. Also has a beverage, likely an item to use.


Write up with my reasons explained charily:
You exit the elevator, ready for another day at work (killer's work). What do you do exactly? (exactly)

A co-worker stops you on your way to your cubicle. "Hey, the boss (OP/alpha wolf) said to go straight to the conference room. Where have you been all morning? (killing people) Check your email(sorry, too busy killing)."

Rolling your eyes, you take a drawn-out swig of your morning beverage of choice. No rest for the wicked (the journalist is wicked). Or so they say.

You're a journalist, always seeking the next big story (killers are infatuated with their story). Regarding serial killers. (punctuation is weird and separate sentence) Your boss (again) works a lot with the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit's liaison with police and media officials (maybe it best no one knows ((b/c it will tie killer to what is going to happen to that poor liaison)) you have the liaison's personal phone number).

Criminal profiling. A fascinating topic but one that you don't like to dwell on too much (not a topic you don't like, but one you don't like dwelling on...why would that be?). There's something unsettling about serial murders and murderers (bc it hits too close to home).

Genny- seems like village Genny
Mel- hard to read but seems to be hunting and testing as well. Would be higher but too dang wolfy. Will inch his way down if it doesn’t get better
Pleasy and TME- neither hasn’t stuck out to me. Probably more bc I can’t ever keep all players in my head. Maybe they should be lower bc flying under radar. At least mine
AM- diff read but nothing stands out that I look for as wolfAM
Samac- up and down. Don’t know what to think. All over the place. Throw in last day vote and maybe lower
Cubs- almost voted him out the gate D2. But now I’m wavering bc something feels wrong if he is wolfing.
Cray- just landed. And hasn’t really done anything to climb out of POE and lurkers yet. Will have to update this
Stagg- I guess this is norm for stagg? But I vowed to push these until trend has reversed. Seems to be comfortable with level of lurking.

I believe alley has a wolf tell and she did it. I have found one example out of all the games she has played where she did the wolf tell and was village. I said this in HZD tot chat and said she was village because she didn’t do the tell. I was right.
That’s why I focused in there.

Noted in the future though THAT I WILL USE SHOUTY CAPS NO MATTER MY AFFILIATION CAUSE THATS APPARENTLY THE ONLY TIME PEOPLE TRUST ME

I’m unimpressed by the Cubs tie argument. I think a desire for ties is more tied into a players baseline tolerance/desire for chaos (which may be affected to some degree by role). When I was a wolf I was just as afraid of ties as I am as village - unless the wolves knew they were completely uninvolved in the tie at all, it has just as much chance of backfiring on them. And wolves have smaller numbers and can’t spare a few dead like village can

I did get the feeling that we were playing chicken to see which of us would move. I’ve broken a lot of ties in recent games and was selfishly hoping not to have to make the call this time, but I was getting ready to move my vote last second if you hadn’t gotten there first. I’ll need to review the vote pattern and end of day posting to see who else was involved and around, and how I feel about it

Not a lot of posts but makes great sense and puts it into words that really struck me as village. It was feels as I have went through. MKG has always been in the background for me (kinda like TME and pleasy this time). Sticking out as logical this game gives me warm village feeling.

trying to decide if it feels like misdirected legitimate wolfhunting, or selective quoting

even if activity level is not AI, there are enough people feeling very absentee that it makes reading tough (and i dislike D1 to begin with, though it had been growing on me in a few recent games...) usually I dislike voting relatively absent players but there's quite a few of them so far

How specific am I supposed to be D1? How specific can one actually be when things are just getting started? and actually, if my swiss cheese brain is remembering things correctly I put out a pretty long list early D1 in RvB, and it was my inactivity that got me in trouble. It is way easier to make up reads than make real ones.

I'm sorry if I'm not articulating this well, but I'm not sure why you'd still be waffling on this. at the end of the day, the reason you gave for your vote is inaccurate, as the behavior you referenced does not reflect how I played as a wolf in RvB, in fact, its the opposite of how I played. So I'm not sure why I'm still being considered wolfy enough to be who your voting for right now

Day One

The scene was gruesome. A double homicide, two retirees, no kids. From the outside it looked like a standard breaking and entering gone wrong, nothing too crazy.

"Why were we called in?" asked one agent, examining the patterns of dust on the top of a dresser with a trained eye.

"Massive overkill," said another agent, his expression grim. "The victims were suffocated and then dismembered. Based on the amount of blood, there was a third victim, but the body is gone. From the looks of it, the remains were fed to the cats."

"So what are we looking at here? White male, 20s to 40s?"

"That would fit the witness description. And they also said they saw him jump several fences with ease. This guy is in excellent shape."

Having connections in the BAU was useful. The rest of the news outlets only had information about the victims, but one intrepid reporter had managed to snag a bit of the profile. Of course, you had to be careful in this business not to show too much of your hand. Couldn't have your contacts getting uncomfortable. But a little tease was enough to bring in the readers.

It wasn't long before the BAU nabbed a suspect that fit the unsub profile. But would the killings stop with this arrest?

I didn't like how she pushed AM but didn't move there after convincing alley to switch. Felt like a wolf worried that the waffles were going to topple wolfward, and wanted to provide an alternate possible direction.

I think cray is village. But she’s not here and I’m looking to save my own active village skin at this point. I think when she flips it’ll confirm what I’m thinking about Zenge. Purely self preservation.
