i have a comment on this but its not pertinent

ok back to this
there's this killer in the series who like TORMENTS the bau, he's kinda one of the only main characters/bad guys (he name Mr.Scratch)
I'm not sure that anyone on the BAU would be a wolf, but i would be a bit surprised if Mr.Scratch wasn't in the game as a wolf

I don't think that's how role names are working in this game, but could be totally wrong...

I agree with stagg.
I think this game is designed to **** up preconceived notions.

I'd be surprised if it's just entirely reversed though. There's enough flips and hints on thread that I'm guessing many of us have picked up a pattern and if we ALL fit that pattern, it's just normal villager code but backwards. there is a pattern though.

normal villager code
The phrase villager code has been uttered, causing a mod brain meltdown. Reboot will take approximately long enough for everyone to get twitchy about the lack of writeup, plus 5 more minutes. What a shame.

aw. but i rebutted it.... doesn't that count for something?

Just kidding, my brain was already melting down, I was just making a point.

Placeholder writeup incoming because it turns out I'm out of spoons

It essentially boils down to "villagers don't care about looking sketchy and will call out other people for seemingly hypocritical reasons"

But chasing down hypocritical reads and possible slip ups is what villagers do and its weird that cray is saying VSLMIP is pinging for doing the village thing.
There’s a difference between hypocritical reads and possible slip ups, though. I don’t have a problem with any and all hypocritical reads because you can realize that something you’re doing is something wolves are more likely to do (e.g. ghosting and giving little to no reasoning), but have your own reasons for doing it (e.g. cleaning up toddler vomit), and obviously know that you’re a villager so not be suspicious of yourself but be suspicious of others who are doing it

Day Two

The 911 dispatcher blinked, unsure that she had heard the caller correctly. "Sir, I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"
The man on the other end choked out the words again, "They're in...my house...so many...of them..."
"Sir, who is in your house?"
"Raccoons!"

The man was still alive when the patrol car arrived, though he was covered in bite wounds. The animals that had attacked him were nowhere to be found. He was rushed to the hospital, where his wounds were bandaged, but he refused prophylactic treatment for rabies. Something about putting mystery chemicals in his body...

A few weeks later, the same dispatcher received another strange call to the same neighborhood.
"Please send someone, my neighbor is just wandering around his backyard, yelling at nothing. And I think he hissed when his sprinklers came on? It's very strange, and it's scaring my kids."

Days later, when the man's cause of death was reported as encephalitis due to raccoon variant rabies, the BAU caught wind of the story. There had been a string of similar cases not that long ago, same story, only noticeable because rabies deaths were so rare in the US these days.

"You know," said one agent to the others as they debriefed, trying to determine if these raccoon exposures had been intentional, "Rabies isn't the only pathogen that raccoons can transmit to humans. Baylisascaris, the raccoon roundworm, can be passed through the ingestion of infected soil or feces. There have only been 30 cases since 1980, but it almost invariably causes severe neurological damage. It's possible these victims were suffering from both the virus and the parasite."

"Regardless of which pathogen won out in these cases, it does appear that someone intentionally set these raccoons loose in the victims' homes. What a strange and elaborate way to go about killing someone."

"You're right. This killer clearly has ample time and means to carry out their crimes. Think of it. Capturing, or breeding, raccoons. Infecting them with rabies. Transporting them to the victims' homes, breaking in, and removing the raccoons before the police arrive? This guy has a lot of time on his hands, and experience with handling wildlife."

"We have our profile. Wheels up in 15 minutes."

The press liaison again stood before the crowd of reporters, this time on a sunny day. She could see beads of sweat gathering on their brows as they pressed forward with fervent energy, each one wanting to be the first to ask their burning questions. A single word came to mind to describe them.

Rabid.

Awaiting trial is @mkg323 who was "has ample time and means to carry out their crimes", a village blocker.
Bummer.

Of all the animals, man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it.

I don't believe in this, wolves can do anything and good ones will.

You serious? Have you read any of my posts today?

And since when is asking for more of a justification of your vote reaching for low-hanging fruit? You previously posted a giant hedgey list of everyone that gave minimal explanation and when I asked why I was your top pick your response was "Feels". You really going to try and argue that's manufactured shade and that I'm not trying to hunt wolves?
Posts today did seem better. I said your posts seemed to be carefree up to a point you started posting more that made me feel you werent village aligned.

Had you started the first 60 hours of the game the way you have been the last 12, I would’ve felt better

yay mel iso
the search function is being weird so I need to do it the old fashioned, ctrl+f way

about TME:

So these were the like actual game posts he had made until this point (below) and other posts were just joking

So this initially jumped out to me as weird, bc mel had mentioned several other people, not cray among them, who he found sus

(the above was in response to visc asking why I had sketch points, hedginess is my most common critique lol)

So in reference to a couple of posts above, he was giving alley a D1 pass which I appreciate. But had still had yet to explain the cray vote

and then i felt weird about the logic of this one. cites tin foil and kinda leaves it at that, but I feel like that's a weird thing to do?

Then this was the thing that really put a bad taste in my mouth. There was other stuff going on on the thread, mel felt weird about other people who had been here, then votes and stick to a vote for someone who came on and said hey i know im not here but this is why

but at this point she had literally said she wouldn't be back until after yeet so like...... whyyy continue to vote her when you felt sus for people who were actually on the thread at the time and could interact with you? it feels like a staying out of the wagon and tie fray strategy to me

and then nothing i found that mel said out loud that floated cray from a vote the day before to in the neutral part of the reads list?

in response to why bob is wolfy

then there's a series of posts tagging people and asking them their various opinions on things, which can be an easy way to look busy

to be fair with this list, there isn't any like crazy amount of movement which gives mel a village point

and then cray slipped back down as the lists went on. I don't love that there's no like explanations behind these lists (which I know isn't everyone's style just bc its mine) or more listed out loud logic

logic behind today's cray vote
and this logic is actually decent to me, so another village point (not that I agree, but I can see this coming from a villager)
again, could be staying out of the wagon and tie fray

further explaining the cray post, which i appreciate

but that's not really what I'm doing? I'm sus'in you over your vote of a different player

but then votes me, which is different from what was said with the cray vote, and then says two other people who he didn't mention as possible other votes in the cray vote?

so my vote on mel boils down to
-really not liking the vote on cray yesterday
-not being able to follow how people move on the reads list very well, and then voting posts that contradict eachother
I’ll be honest, this reads to me like “here’s somewhere that he didn’t explain his logic. Wolfy” and “here’s somewhere he did explain his logic in more detail, I’ll give a village point to make it clear I’m being Fair and Balanced”. The fact that the villagest thing found (his reasoning on voting Cray over “considering him and Bob in a pack” (did not happen. Twisting her words) and “inconsistent reasoning” (like I said in another post, I don’t see it as logically inconsistent at all, so could also be twisting)) is, to me, the main point against him being village makes it hard for me to see this ISO as sincere. I’m keeping in mind that confirmation bias might be colouring how I’m reading it, though.

What exactly are you wolf reading me off of? I see you citing mkg but even she's not voting me today.
You seem to press me more when I’m not voting early. When I’m absent you seem to be pushing more quickly. I have been away for longer periods this game and I expect AM posts pushing me when I get on. I haven’t seen it as much as it seems you normally do. My replies have had less replies from you and less getting the last word

You just told me you never vote early.

What?

You just told me you never vote early.
Full quote please and please include the full quote plus surrounding sentences. If you can’t do it then I’m going to assume you are creating a false narrative. If you don’t find that in the quote, will you kindly explain why you are creating a false narrative? I hope you can bc otherwise I would have to add another to your false statements

Cubs has bad look for 4 way tie comment. For saying it was joke when clearly not. And a third reason I would have to look back to remember. Then him saying I always vote early when I’ve been notorious for voting late seems like blatant lie/misinformation.

So if Mel has Cubs as number one villager, he must know something. I’d leave it at that. Or he is packmate.

You just told AM "you seem to press me more when im not voting early." Thereby implying that fact that you do vote early, after saying above that you notoriously vote late.

So I guess now Im creating a false narrative about the false narrative I already created? Isnt that like a double negative or something? Where's @supershorty when you need some language-grammar interpretation assistance!

I said this a day (or two) ago with my “tinfoil”. I have actually been trying to work through this game from write up standpoint and “mechanics” standpoint. Bc I assume there is some clues and crime solving to be done with this theme. I think a lot has been laughed off but I’m looking for what I can. And thank goodness bc people seem erratic this game and harder to read. I also feel like I’ve been finding good points on posts but they seem to not cause a blip on others radar.

FYI. I think this could be a game with multiple solo wolfs. Since serial killers are usually solo.

You just told me you never vote early.

when did I tell you “I never vote early”?

Look at below quote (to AM I might add) “WHEN I am not voting early”. I used to vote late until more recent games bc AM pushed for earlier votes from me.

You just told AM "you seem to press me more when im not voting early." Thereby implying that fact that you do vote early, after saying above that you notoriously vote late.

I will wait for the full quote for when I said “I never vote early.” Just to make sure you aren’t twisting words. I would really like to clear this up. Bc it feels like it is manufactured.

It shouldn’t be hard to find if I said it
