Am i a fool to only rank FOUR schools on my list?

Not if you have honestly assessed your chances to be very good at a couple. As it has been said a thousand times, we are applying to medicine and most of us will get within our top 3. I'm sure you feel great about your 4.

I am ranking 5 schools, but 2 tracts at one so 6 programs all together.

Good luck. If you're like me, match day can't come fast enough...

No kidding. 🙂 I envy the early matchers. 🙂 I agree that 4 is perfectly fine for medicine, as long as you have 2 in there about which you feel pretty solid. Medicine is so large that I wouldn't compare rank lists with more competitive specialties.

... just make sure you are certain that you'd rather take they year off or scramble than rank ________ program. Also, if places like hopkins or mgh are on your list, i'd rank an extra one at the end, just in case.
