Hi everyone!

Has anyone here taken OCTH 190 with Dr. Wynn already? Any advice as to how best to prepare for the assessments? I'm taking it now and it seems like a lot of information...wondering just how much detail I should be absorbing to do well.

Yes I have taken it. Dedicate as much time as possible and do all of the reading. It is an intense class! Look up videos on the topics of the week. If you can, get in touch with another couple of students to study with after everyone has done the reading. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! Would you say the PowerPoints were indicative of the material I should focus on most? Or was everything in the reading sort of fair game on the quizzes?

From what I remember the Powerpoints tell you which topics and you will need to read and/or look up supplemental info to really understand it fully. Sometimes things came up from the reading that were not fully explained in the Powerpoints. Feel free to message me if you have other questions.

I'm wondering if anyone stuck with the 500 word limit on the personal essay for SJSU? It just seems like such a limited amount of space to explain so many things!

Or did any of you go ahead and just submit something longer?

I stuck to it and was accepted. They have so many applicants. Sticking to the limit shows that you respect their time. Write out the whole thing and then see where you can cut or summarize!
