I wanna go back to D1 when I said "I kinda wanna yeet Stagg" but actually do it this time
Oho! NiceDay 5
"No one ever runs against me when it's time for an election."
Lewis shook his head. He'd always known he was the true mayor of this town. They'd tried to replace him with not 1, but 2 usurpers. Well, they were gone now. And just look at how unstable and unsafe the town had become under the leadership of others. Truly, Ginger Island was only safe with his guidance.
"You know," he said, talking to no one in particular, "crows are really underappreciated. They have these beautiful, glossy feathers. They have outstanding memories. And once you befriend them, once they know they can trust you, they'll use their cunning and their intelligence to do everything to help you."
"Oh yes, they'll help you. You never know what they'll find and bring to you! They like shiny things, of course. They're outstanding at finding treasures."
He smirked. That wasn't all the crows had done to help him. Oh no. They'd helped him to cripple the farms of his competitors, getting him out ahead to have the best produce, the top producing farm. It was what he wanted, after all. What better way to show that he was the one true leader of Ginger Island than to definitively prove that he knew more about farming in the tropics than anyone else?
Lewis wasn't surprised at all by people accusing him of coveting Pam's job. He had a history, after all, and the past follows a fellow forever. He shrugged off the accusations; he couldn't change his past choices, all he could do was exemplify that he was a reformed man. A changed soul. Someone they could trust with their lives.
The accusation that he was 3 crows in a trench coat came a bit out of left field. "First of all," he retorted, "I would be a lot smaller if I were 3 crows in a trench coat. Secondly, this isn't even a trench coat, perhaps you should speak to Haley about fashion because clearly you don't know what it is."
Gus squinted at him and caught the eye of Kent, who wouldn't take his eyes off Lewis and had his hand hovering near his hip, perhaps flashing back to his days in the service. They knew something was off here.
"You didn't deny being crows, I noticed." Gus' mild demeanor masked his resolve. He was ready to fight for this if it meant his own survival.
Lewis rubbed the back of his neck uncertainly. He didn't really want to be in the spotlight right now, not like this. He was busy. He had more planned. This wasn't the right time. He gave a nervous cough.
"Was that a caw? You can tell me." Kent quipped. The ice from Lewis' eyes could have frozen anything, even someone on the hot plains of Argentina.
Before they could bundle him onto the boat to return to Stardew Valley, there was a swirl of feathers. There was no sign of Lewis. A massive flock of crows was speeding away toward the sunset, cawing in panic.
Do you know what they call a group of crows?
A murder.

OMG NO
Lawpy just campaigned aggressively for Stagg to be yoten
I'm putting my gentle concerns about Lawpy conversion to bed because he fought so hard for that yeet.
Yeah but they fought for so long I'd be floored if it was wolfy theater. But actually he sat on Miranda today when it counted, tbf
Contingency yeet SAR
ok but lawpy loves to be bussed and stagg loves bussing. there's no way lawpy survives in that scenarioBut actually he sat on Miranda today when it counted, tbf
Yep. I fully expect bussing in playSo you think I let myself be talked out of a Miranda yeet that I was pretty solid on yesterday to yeet my partner Stagg instead?
Yep. I fully expect bussing in play
Why 🫠Stagg (2) - Lawpy, mighty
I have so many questions for the wolves in deadchatWhy 🫠
Idk, Staggs was pretty condemned today ever since WZ issued the warning of needing to change courseI don't bus like that.
Mirandas over PSV/pshelty imoTo do tomorrow: figure out if PSV or Miranda are more compatible with stagg
Barky’s okayYeet stagg
I need to reread plsMirandas over PSV/pshelty imo
Ok fixedWow I just realized I completely missed day 4 on that pls hold
really? i think she sounds village. If anything, i think my mirandas sus actually worsened after today
I can’t get over the ATE and her interactions with mighty and vissyreally? i think she sounds village.
HmmStagg: less of a lowposter than I thought, and I feel like there is probably enough content to start to form a read, at least for people with more experience playing him. I want to read his tone as villagey but I have a high index of suspicion for Stagg from him reportedly being hard to catch as a wolf
Sketchballs. This almost reads kinda villagey to me from how comfortable he feels with jokingly acting sus, but I vaguely remember him acting like this while scumming (what game?? No idea) and lots of veterans say he’s hard to tone read.
I felt like this was a good question as Santy’s original post didn’t explicitly say “both easy to read and no bussing meta would be ideal”. The followup argument once that was clear seem like NAI general WW philosophy and I don’t see the relevance to the current game, plus bordered on rude about other players’ skill at times, so I’m not interested in it.
But one thing that’s bugging me is that he early on seemed to be objecting to voting someone based on no-bussing-meta “versus” being an easy read, and this lead into him arguing that no-bussing makes an easy read. Staggs, if you think that makes someone an easy read, what was the holdup with the idea of no-bussing being a good mayor quality? You even recognize this later:
So I don’t get why the argument happened in the first place.
I don’t get the objection to noob!mayor, imo often noobs are more co-operative and less prone to main character syndrome/hero-play BS, and although yeah noobs can be unpredictable to read I think on average noob wolves are caught more often than experienced wolves. Plus they’re fun to watch enjoying being mayor.
Kinda think this is coming from a villagey mindsetI feel like at this point there's a high likelihood of there being a wolf in Stagg/miranda. I'm undecided on which one is individually more wolfy.
I recognize lots of things look bad for miranda and I was definitely taken in by the ATE with Santy. Trying to decide if miranda's movements are more or less logical for a wolf than Stagg's, and the answer is "idk."
Yes i agree here. I think SAR is most likelyThere is mutual compatibility in [PSV, Stagg, miranda, SAR]. Stagg/miranda can be debated given today’s developments, though I weight them less than material from earlier in the game.
Although it’s concerning that SAR and mirandas have pretty much identical compatibilities from this chart.
I've been working through this today. It's a chart meant to depict mafia teammate compatibility. Dark green means I think two players are unlikely to be teammates. Light green is a less confident version of that where I see some kind of indicators to separate people without feeling the same security. And yellow means I don't have a compelling reason to say they're not both mafia (i.e., they're at least technically compatible).
I've shared a few points that I found along the way here in the thread today, but I've avoided totally spamming every single thing. If there are questions I can refer back to specific interactions to point out the things I had in mind. I think my main takeaway here is that I wouldn't eliminate Lawpy or Barky today, because they're the hardest to find teammates for. Genny is compatible with nearly everyone, but that should be taken with a grain of salt -- genny's posting style lends itself to making this analysis difficult (no slight, play however you like).
Look into SAR too plsTo do tomorrow: figure out if PSV or Miranda are more compatible with stagg
HmmNight 5
"I've been trying to forget about that. *shudder*"
Pelican Town and Ginger Island were very different from being a soldier in the war. Though Kent's heralded return had been peaceful, sometimes he was unable to shake the demons that followed him and haunted his thoughts at night. He didn't talk about it much, but his time in the Gotoro prison camp had changed him, and while he hid his trauma well most of the time, his uneasy glances over his shoulder or jumpiness at the sound of popcorn being made revealed his inner turmoil.
He didn't like to talk about that, but he sure did like to talk about other things. His conversations with everyone were the talk of the town - even if large gatherings made him uneasy, private communications delighted him and he'd jumped at the opportunity to open those channels. His wry wit and sarcastic sense of humor brought chuckles to everyone who talked to him.
The darkness of the night exacerbated his concerns. He tried to rationalize that he was safe because all he was doing was cultivating enough wheat to feed the entire island. So much wheat, in fact, that he'd written a novella about putting wheat into the annual Luau soup. And now, with his wheat empire firmly established, he was beginning to branch out into other areas of agriculture - ducks, specifically. Duckriculture.
He'd heard that the best way to transport ducks was to have them on a string, which he took with him to the store. The store owner gave him a sideways look when he ordered 5 ducks on a string, thinking this guy was a bit quackers, but he and his ducks went merrily on their way.
Until they didn't.
The figure standing by the side of the road gave off a vibe that reminded Kent of his days in the war. He gave a tug on the string to encourage the ducks to waddle faster, but those webbed feet can only go so fast.

In the midst of the struggle that followed, he couldn't help but think to himself that he had predicted this. All of those late hours sitting up at night hadn't been idle paranoia. If only he had kept training on his self defense maneuvers... but it was too late now.
They found him the next morning, lying on the road from the store to his house. His ducks, loyal to the end, were milling around him, quacking in concern. The string lay broken in the dirt.
It seemed like the start of an eerie nursery rhyme.
The warm of the sun rising over the valley
Returns village to work, looking back at the tally
They farm and they garden, at night the wolves sing
But beware and make haste; no more ducks on a string.

It is now Day 6. Vote closes tomorrow, 3/27, at 10 PM CDT.
Maybe wolves are drawn to Jays’ colorful interaction tablesWhy do I feel like I still have to reevaluate everything even with a wolf being yeeted yesterday 🫠
And I don’t really understand why wolves have left JJJ alone despite no one ever being interested in yeeting him
Breaking ties is sadly NAI because wolves don’t want to die in a mass death either.Lawp, it's not me.
But at least with Stagg flipped we've bought some time so if everyone feels like I need to be flipped so you can get out of your tunnel then sure, at least it's death.
But I'm honestly a little peeved that I was a tie breaker on not one but two wolves and apparently that makes me suspect #1. I'm not as pure of a non-busser as Zenge but I HATE bussing and I feel like your campaign against me is trying to tarnish that reputation
