StardeWW 2: Ginger Island - GAME THREAD

That’s a point of view, certainly.

I think it’s also a point of view that the mayor gets A LOT more scrutiny. You’d seldom see a mayor not get seered, watched, tracked, jailed, etc.

People who are getting into the mayoral position would also know this, and maybe not want to get the mayoral vote. It’s always interesting to see how people respond when they’re getting close to being voted mayor. Some people don’t want it and you start to have to ask “why”?

But also for the record I think I have a pretty good track record reading PSV. Not always perfect, but decent.

If you had the choice to have a Village mayor or a Wolf mayor, who would you choose?

And like, do you think a Wolf!Psv would be scared of having more 'scrutiny' when fooling people by tone if one of their fortes?

I was going to say this. I think you've only incorrectly yoten me one time that I can think of. 3/5 of my scum games there were extenuating non-reading circumstances but you probably would've turned on me in MLP like you did in WWildzoo. You're pretty good at recognizing when I'm village though I think.

It's not about tone though. Unless being unseerable or something comes with mayorism this game, which is anyone's guess, then being blocked, jailed, blah blah blah are really bad for a wolf. You can't trick mechanics.

It made me sus him, because I think its more likely to come from scum.

Does that make him auto!scum? No. But I can also have my opinion on it and pursue my view dont'ya think?
Fine, I'm just saying I don't agree with you and I think he's felt pretty averenge.

Find your wolf and 3P games and we'll count the number of times I push your vote. I bet it's >80% since I used to know your tell.
To go even further, I think the ONLY game where I didn't call you as scum was Orchestra and I didn't even play that game, though I will admit that was one of the best wolf wins I've seen.

Why would you block someone because they are just mayor ¿?

I think mayor has a more 'on the spotlight' time, but that doesnt mean being RB'ed for free.
For wolves that wamt to go Under The Radar it could be bad, but I dont think you fit that type of wolf. Like at all

9 pages already damn, i'll play this a bit later tonight

I mean, you can disagree with my PoV I guess? But it just felt like you were trying to disprove me as totally invalid for a slot that you are reading average instead of just letting me do my pressure.

Which now I feel weird about if this is some sort of whiteknighting/pocketing for Zenge. Or if its me going for another wrong read on Psv for a row tbh

last 2 town games i've been mafia n1 factional because of accurate reads + town leader

in game of champions i got mafia d1 vigged over mac/illario and everyone else

i think i'm a good option for mayor but also i won't particularly try to get it, just don't rule me out for it

I mean, if you obvtown I would vote for you Lucy yeh

Honestly I’ve seen village mayors make horrific decisions and get away with it because they were lock village through confirmation. Decisions that wolves would have made better just to try and not get investigated by town. So… pregnant shrug emoji. It’s a real crap shoot either way.

I do think the logic of your argument against PSV basically means she’d never get to be mayor, which I don’t think is fair.

I think she’s a good player and I think she’d do a good job as mayor and deserves a chance at the role.

And I can read her well enough that I’m not overly concerned about her potentially getting the role as a wolf.

Man, I love when people pull the receipt card on me. For brevity, I'll go only compatible with your playing range. Though, I'll tell you right now that I'm not pulling any 3p games because, if I do, I will count that against you as misreads. I was inclusive and wolfhunting in all of those.

Thanks, Papa Wolf. I'm not overly interested in being mayor this game so I won't campaign for it over people who are actually interested.

What horrific decisions?

And yet that does not stop wolves from running for mayor, which always tickles me

It is a sound logic though. It also applies to me and other players. I don't doubt that she could do a great job as mayor, but also if there is more optimals options I dont think its good to not fl them just for the sake lf variety and 'giving everyone a chance'.

Like, what if you are the n1 and Wolf!Psv snows village ?
Like, it doesnt matter if I feel like Im the GOAT reading Lucy, how the playerlist as a whole is able to read Lucy is also important I think.

And overall I do think the 'Giving everyone a chance' or like less weighted / thought about mayoral votes are likelier to come from scum and why it caught the most my attention.
But nothing definitive I guess

I'm not interested in dragging people through the mud, I just don't know if you're referring to something real or just making stuff up lol
Like I think it should be pretty obvious that mayoral powers are generally better kept out of wolf hands so I find that answer... interesting
I can think of real examples from games I’ve both read, and played, yes, where a village mayor made terrible decisions, repeatedly.

Like , just from a basic mechanic standpoint.

The whole village is alive and debates to give a single person a power.

If tha person elected is a wolf, from the whole playerlist if village decided to entrust that to an enemy, isn't more expected that decision to be bad for village? Like, a sort of punishmemt for skill issuing big time on reads?

jjj/clem can read me fairly well i believe and last game everyone tr me very easily, so i think that is a pro not a con since the playerlist can read me

I see what you’re saying.

I’m saying I can read PSV well enough that I’m comfortable electing her mayor. I also think she would do a good job with what I imagine are potential powers.

I also want to see how she would respond to increased vote pressure, in a vote for mayor she’s now publicly stated she does not want.

Also votes aren’t locked or anything. I’m free to change my mind here. It’s just an opening gambit.

Also, if we are talking about questionable mech decisions. Clem is the person who was gifted a dayvig on D1 as town , rolled a dice and instantly shot.
That said Clem is very good with mech stuff. Clem its the definition lf wildcard and you dont know what you can get from Mayor!Clem

Yes, this is why I'm anti-Clem as mayor.

To the bolded, you were still scum and wouldn't count toward village in most of those, so I count those as solid reads.

I knew you were wolf in Gladiators and intentionally screwed village as a 3P to help you win by switching off you to make Cubz a valid wagon on final day, how do you think you all won at endgame?

In Friends I literally lead the vote to kill you:
Official Day 5 Who's a wolf?

Stagg (2) - d-fin, AM
muggles (1) - Skim
AM (6) - Stagg, cubs, mizzy, Lawpy, Barky, muggles

9/10 voting
missing mel
lynch closed
Also, iirc wolves won that game because Miz pulled some sorcery.

Reading back, in Criminal Minds I was taking care of a sick kid and showering off vomit intermittently and I still seered you on the night you killed me. I'll still give you that one though. So I'm at least 2/3 when you're actually wolfing and even better when you're scum.

Can you quote or clarify hat answer are you referring to? I'm tired.

I have stated why I have confidence on my read on Dubz and Saw Dubz be consensus town more than one game
Historically Dubz is hard to push as wofl!Dubz and apparently an easy misvote at endgame when villageDubz. I also think a fair amount of people (myself included) aren't great at reading her. Not exactly the profile of someone we'd want as mayor, imo.

Join me, friends, in a journey of teamwork, kindness, and cooperation, where the innocents lost in games past and present are forever redeemed, and the guilty are allowed to understand the errors of their judgment without judgment (or maybe just a little).

A vote for JJJ as mayor is a vote for victory together. And a vote for victory alone. Together Alone.

Stagg summed it up well.
Like, don't you even have a Dubz reading card still!?!?
literally the only one, I believe
