The voices got louder and louder....the representatives from across the lands were getting frustrated, screaming at one another. Someone has to die today...for Hedgie! Her senseless death needs to be avenged!

As many different candidates are brought forward. The Mother Confessor sat at the head of the room. She was to preside over the trial of the accused and ensure proper justice would be served, as has been the duty of the order of Confessors for generations.

In the end, three people were brought before her: 98cats, Gwen and tuckervet. They are on their knees before her, staring at the ground.

Kahlan steps forward and asks Gwenevre to rise.

"By the authority of this council, you have been guilty of murder."

Gwen immediately collapses, sobbing. He knows the sentence that will be carried out.

"But what of my daught--"

He is immediately cut off as Kahlan's hand touches his throat. In that instant, time stood still. He was gone, there was nothing that could be done.

A wave of power rushes through the room. A crack of thunder without the sound.

Gwen falls to the ground. "Command me, Confessor."

"I want you to die" says Kahlan. Her face reflecting no emotion.

Gwen immediately starts convulsing. His eyes roll into the back of his head.

Finally he is still. His eyes blank, staring lifelessly at the ceiling.

Dead is Gwenevre, Dell Brandstone aka Chase. A small girl's cries can be heard as his body is removed.

It is now Night 2. Night deadline 8 AM EST.
